Tiny little spot putting out huge flavor! Cheese steak was delicious and super fresh made. Served on a round poppyseed roll. The hot peppers you can add were amazing…great heat that didn’t kill you.

We’ve tried our share of cheesesteaks from Philly and far beyond. Hubby and I both agree that this is the best one that we’ve ever eaten. Well seasoned, tender and beefy steak with a generous amount of truly caramelized onion and drippy melty cheese on a soft poppy seed Kaiser roll. Get extra napkins and a knife and fork…. You’ll need them! Donkeys Place is cheesesteak perfection. We will make the drive the next time we are craving the ultimate cheesesteak!

Solid cheesesteak with fried onions. Asked for it chopped, not a problem. Normally it is slab style. They had a nice spicy ketchup for the fries. Friendly employees working the windows. They had fun games to play while you wait.

Would’ve given 5 stars but the service was okay.. the girl who took my order was fine but waited for my food for some time while they took other people’s orders and for some reason theirs were ready before mine.. my order wasn’t a big order.. then when my name was called.. I checked the bag and one of my items were missing then the girl at the counter actually had the audacity to ask if I ordered and paid for it.. really?? What happened to good customer service man

Donkey’s is fantastic. Small menu, a little bit pricey. All of the items are worth it though, and the portions are great. Huge cheesesteaks, and “small” fries and onion rings are bigger than a Wendy’s or McDonald’s large fry.

The cheesesteak was just what I was expecting. The only thing that could’ve been better is using a roll without poppy seeds as opposed to one with. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience.

Great place that is easy to miss given its location. Their menu is small but they have over 80 years specializing in cheesesteaks. The bread is large and kaiser-like. Yes, they have cheese wiz! I like how you can grab some good food and walk to Village Idiot brewery to eat it and have drinks.

The Cheesesteaks and onion rings are great. I prefer the tavern in Camden, where you can have beer with your food, but parking there is tough.
