Not like the one in Watsonville. Was very disappointed. Conchas smaller and bread not as soft, not to mention they were day old. Cookies with the jelly are pretty good though. I’d wait to get back home and buy them there. IYKYK

Their cookies are so delicious worth driving from San Jose. Their only problem is they only take cash and that’s a huge inconvenience. But delicious cookies

I used to love their sweet bread but I went there yesterday and OMG we spent a few dollars and when we got home and are some of the sweet bread I almost gagged it was so dry and the churros were so hard I almost cracked a tooth the piggy’s were so dry and the cookies were not good enough for our family.my husband threw them out…money wasted…

I love El Nopal Bakery! The pan dulce is so fresh, tasty and affordable.

It’s my go to place whenever I crave sweets. Or bread, or sweet-breads!

I love the fresh flour and corn tortillas too! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Delicious pan dolce. Great mexican bakery with a lot of tradition. My family and I know many others that make the dive from San Jose for this tasty treat.

Absolutely delicious! We splurge here and spoil Nana & Papa whenever we come to visit. Wish they made more product as they’re usually out of most of our favorites if we get there after noon.
Prices are reasonable, but it’s a CASH ONLY transaction.
Parking is pretty much impossible unless you park in the Baler Market lot across the street and walk over.
Building is old and small, there’s usually a line.
Delicious comforting food, get there early if you can!

The tamales are definitely a gift that descended from Heaven and the conchas were definitely handcrafted by angels. 5/5 stars

LOVE THIS PLACE!! The only downside is that it’s cash only but good for them! Pan dulce is always so fluffy and moist, don’t get me started on the sugar cookies! THEY ARE SO YUMMY!! Prices are super reasonable too.

Hours posted on door say 9pm and online 8:45. My husband drove from San Jose to make it 5-10 min before 8:45 and the doors were already locked and the employees refused to acknowledge him. This is the 3rd time we go when it’s supposed to be open and it’s closed.
