El Mofongo is what I needed in the area. A great home style Dominican restaurant, which reminds me of one of my old favorite spots in Washington Heights. They take no shortcuts in their preparation and everything felt as though I was visiting family. Look forward to trying their sancocho and tres golpes next time.

Good chiken mofongo missed the crunchy bites,. But he gave u plenty amount of chicken,.. hard to eat a mofongo without the Mojito garlic sauce (not available) I’m from PR and always have that option available. But overall was good ,. Next visit I’ll try the Pernil, looks so go.

Nice family run place. Very welcoming. We tried a number of dishes. We preferred the pork ribs over the roast pork. The chicken stews were good, as were the yellow rice and black beans. Pistachio cake for dessert was light and not too sweet.

First time at this establishment. Warm, welcoming and delicious! I had the “Bartolo Colon” mofongo, which was amazing. Some Malta to wash it down and I was set. The staff lets you know how much they appreciate your business, which is a huge plus in my book. Perfect for a lunch stop-off. Service is quick and friendly. Can’t wait to return.

Best Dominican food on the island! Mouthwatering delicious food, authentic style meats seasoned to perfection. Incredible freshly baked cakes, and the friendliest staff that treats you like their closest family.

I actually yelped this place because my best friend and I were going to a show at the coliseum nearby and we wanted to eat before we watched the show… oh how happy we were that we went here!!! Let me tell you… I have eaten a good share of Dominican food but this place was not just good but a great experience. The lady who owns the place is a sweetheart and you can tell that the food is prepared with love. Everyone must go if they are anywhere in the vicinity. And definitely finish off your meal with some tres leches cake!! The piña colada tres leches cake is also to die for and just the regular Dominican cake is yum. If you’ve never had any type of Dominican dessert ever, you haven’t lived life to the fullest, lol! Dominican icing is like no other that I’ve ever tasted.
