Stopped by on our way back home from Cuyamaca and so glad we stopped by. We didn’t know what to expect when we first walked in but the food is so good and authentic. They have a ton of combination plates with rice and beans included. Their chips and salsa are fresh and delicious- stoked we were given a 2nd round with a bigger bowl of salsa.

This place is definitely a trip with the elementary school furniture and all. Best part was the roaring fire on a cold winter night. Not the best Mexican food, but solid nonetheless.

We’ve been going to this place for so many years whenever we visit Ramona area. If you want authentic Mexican food come here. It’s such a old funky down to earth Restaurant. So don’t expect anything special as far as fancy. It’s like time never changed here. The only reason I’m giving them. 4 stars today is because we were very rushed as they were expecting an event and only had 30 minutes to eat. We enjoyed our food as always and wish there was something in San Diego that was comparative. The staff was friendly although they were in a rush for an event that would be taking place. Be sure to call before you go there as they do have events and that hours are changeable.

Subpar price to food ratio. What is pictured was $10 alone. With this came a $6 kids quesadilla and fries. Service was quick, food tasted great – but there are plenty other restaurants within a mile that have a better selection and quantity of food for better prices.
