Wrens ga. Stop in to EL MAGUEY MEXICAN FOOD. The food is done to perfection, service is ALWAYS! on point that is a major plus, Food DOES not taste like other mexican restaurants. The taste is good, food is a lot. And i can not complain about anything here.

I love this place. I was hooked with the Warrenton location and then this one opened down the road from my house. The first few times I went were just okay(they were getting in their groove). They listened to the critical feedback and have made improvements to make this restaurant a gem, especially in such a small town. The food is delicious and the prices are very fair. I haven’t had a bad experience yet.

I’m not a huge Mexican food fan, but this is one of the best Mexican restaurants we have gone to as a family. Great food and great service, we are usually in and out within an hour unless we decide to sit and chat!

I would’ve given 5⭐️’s if the salsa didn’t have such huge onions in it. My family and I eat here once a week and love it. There are not many sit-down places in Wrens GA, so it’s nice to be able to sit and down a few beers and enjoy some street tacos.

Hard to believe this place is owned by the same people that own the one in Warrenton. Ate one time at the one in Warrenton and will never eat there again (see my review on that restaurant). Only two waiters were working when we visiting…. So service was slow and and not very attentive… Not offered refills on beverages or chips and salsa. Had to remind the server twice that I asked for hot sauce before finally receiving it. The food was decent and portions were large for lunch sized portions. I would not drive to Wrens to specifically dine here but if in the area… I would be willing to give them another shot. Hopefully with better service.

Poor food, they offer beef, chicken or sausage tacos however they will only make you one kind as they said its too much work to make 3 different kinds of tacos. So I settled for another dish, which was prepared poorly, alot of what was supposed to come with it wasnt delivered to the table

El Maguey Mexican Restaurant serves outstanding Mexican cuisine in a warm and welcoming ambiance with attentive and friendly staff. I had the burrito with shrimp, steak, and chicken. The burrito is generously portioned and skillfully wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla, bursting with a symphony of perfectly cooked and seasoned meats, spices, and seasonings, along with fresh vegetables and melted cheese. Overall, El Maguey is a hidden gem that captivates the senses and is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

Definitely the worst service I’ve ever had. After waiting 15 to 20 minutes for menus and drinks, I asked why we couldn’t get a menu. The waitress said that I will not disrespect her. I explained that I wasn’t, just a question. How do you not have enough menus for every seat in the restaurant. She got mad and told the manager/ owners son that I was being rude. He came with a attitude and basically said that we should be grateful that he tries to accommodate our large party every Sunday after church. I let him know that’s not how it works and my disabled girlfriend was also a part of the conversation. He said that he was only trying to talk to me and motioned for me to shut her up. That’s when it almost got out of hand. He is a very unprofessional person and his daddy needs to take away his managers position. He will run that place in the ground. Do not recommend, take the 20 minute drive to Thompson and get Habaneros. Much better food and service.
