My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm. We were quickly greeted and seated. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, which were very delicious-with plenty to take home afterwards. She ordered the chicken chimi changas, and ate very delicious bite. The restaurant is small, but can easily sit a table up to 8 or so. Restrooms were very small, but clean. We really enjoyed our experience here!

Bring an appetite! The food is flavorful and plenty. I’ve eaten in a lot of authentic Mexican restos throughout the southwest and I can tell you that this place delivers. The nachos topped with beef is outstanding!

I love this location! We got the fajita mix set up for 2, which fed 2 adults and an 8y.o. girl with leftovers. Our total party size was 5, our orders were accurate and came out quickly! I do think the side order of queso was runny/thin, but the food, overall met any expectations that I had. The service was efficient, not overly/outwardly friendly, but got he job done. I will return again (and again).

Great food. Everything had great flavor. Salsa was 7/10 but the queso was awesome.
The only negative was the building. Older and could go for some remodeling. Everything in the building needs an update.
If you’re looking for a quiet place for some awesome Mexican food I would highly recommend El Maguey.

Amazing food!! Excellent service! Chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was extremely good!! The food was fresh and extremely flavorful. The Diet Coke was the of the best mixes we’ve had! We will definitely come again when driving through St.Louis!!
