First of all, I loved the decor. The colourful tables and chairs were awesome. Our waitress was nice, and our food came out pretty quick. Massive portions for the price for sure. The food was really hot and full of flavour. We’re not from the area, but we were happy we chose to eat here!

This establishment is highly recommended for those seeking authentic Mexican cuisine during their visit to Carlsbad. The ambiance is appropriate for diverse occasions, and the staff consistently provides excellent service.

Went on a Sunday for lunch, lots of people, we waited 40 min to get the food we ordered.
The food were very good and very generous portions! Prices are great too!
The first waitress were not friendly but the one we got at our table were very nice and took the time to explain all the vegetarian options 🙂

Came here solo so did not have to wait at all during the busy Sunday lunch hour. Had their meat quesadilla and they were amazing. Definitely satiated my hunger after the Guadalupe peak trail!

Good food, cute interior with painted signature chairs, nice waitstaff, but they were very busy… My apps were great, however someone had a horrible experience with fajitas. After serving, they didn’t hsve any tortillas and had to make some. By that time, the steak was cold and the patron was not a happy camper. They tried to reheat the steak, but it was tough and bad. No meal for patron and they comped his meal. He left hungry as we had to go. Drinks looked great!

This review has nothing to do with their food. Their food is quite good and well priced. However, they need to hire more people. The hostess was also running the register and had to step away from seating people to check people out. We were eating in a large group and only 1 waitress was assigned to our table. She was also working 3-4 other tables and was working very hard. It took about 30 minutes to get our drinks and I personally had to go get more chips for our tables. The food took another 30 minutes and fajitas only came with 2 tortillas per person when the amount of meat would require about 4 per person. Overall, not a great experience, but the food was really good.

Great and savory. The salsa in this place is spicy hot. The plates are well served. They had a lunch buffet special. It looked OK, not that appealing. But their plates more than made up for it. They charge for refills on aguas frescas which we were not made aware of until the check came that was the only drawback.

I got the Jimador burrito. It was filled with mostly sour cream. The cheese and sauce on top of the burrito tasted very nasty. Ive traveled to many places in the world and I gotta say, this burrito is one of the worst $14 I’ve ever spent on one. I took 3 bites and fed the rest to the cats in the alley.

Looks basic from the road but very good! The inside is decorated very nice and the seats are comfortable. Big menu with pics and descriptions making it easy to order. The mini tacos with churro beans was delicious! Get the churro beans you won’t be sorry! The others at my table also said their dishes were very good. We give it a big thumbs up!
