El Fuego Mexican Grill is such a hidden gem. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. You can really tell they care about quality and seasoning everything tastes authentic and satisfying. The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Service is quick without feeling rushed, which makes it a great spot whether you’re dining in or grabbing food to go. If you’re craving good Mexican food that actually hits the spot, El Fuego is definitely worth checking out. I’ll for sure be coming back!

Get the birria. Well seasoned, tender and juicy beef. They didn’t do the fried queso birria style so I would just get it as bowl on rice and beans next time. But It was excellent birria and well shredded too so you didn’t have any bites into solid bricks of beef. 4 stars because oh my gad prices everywhere suck and the stand in line and pick your toppings model sucks. Let me just order and go sit.

Best Mexican Food in SCV.

We’ve been working our way through the entire menu and nothing disappoints.

It’s been our go-to Mexican spot and it gives me an excuse to go every time I need to charge my car at the Tesla charger.

The staff are always super friendly and it’s a pleasure to eat here.

We love the original artwork on the walls. I can’t wait until they get beer in the next few weeks.

Give El Fuego a chance and you will be hooked, the food is certainly 10x better than the sit-down place a few doors down!

The street signage brought us in as much as the restaurant’s name. Who could pass us El Fuego!! Anyhow, we ordered a fish tostada and three street tacos of different meats. Chips and salsa came with it all.

First off the staff here are very friendly and the menu is big and easy to read. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and well designed with amazing art work.

The fish on the tostada was amazingly cooked. Soft and moist and not overly salty. The ingredients inside tasted fresh and the shell was light and flaky. Again none of it overly salty.

The street tacos had very generous portions of meat, nearly triple that of competitors street tacos. Each of the three meats were seasoned well but not overly salted like you would find at other restaurants, meaning the flavors you are getting are from the careful spicing.

While the layout appears to be like a chipotle, the fish was freshly fried specifically for my order, not something you see in typical fast food. It was totally worth the wait.

Also none of food was greasy, and did I mention it was not overly salty?

I am not a local, I will add this place as a stop when travelling. As a Phoenician with access to many authentic restaurants, I have not experienced a restaurant like this.

Five stars, El Fuego!!

Thanks,
Dominic

The food was delicious and the staff were beyond helpful. I’d never eaten here before and they gave me samples so I could see what I like. They had an extensive menu for decent prices. Cannot stress enough how nice everyone was. Would come back just for the service!!

My family and I went there yesterday and this is the best Mexican restaurant I have tried. Not only they served our food quickly but it was fresh, warm and tasty. My family and I had a little of every dish and wow those fresh tortillas really make a difference. The staff are extremely helpful and nice. The cashier is amazing. He found out my family and I were first time coming to the restaurant and he gave my family and I free drinks. I will definitely come back. Thank you !

Let’s start with how amazing the food was. It was delicious. It was served fresh and warm. I went there for their grand opening and yes we waited for 1 hour but for a $1 taco special you should expect that, there was several hundreds of people. The employee had told us prior to purchase we were going to wait for a hour. The employees are super nice and very helpful. There was few customers who were rude to the employees all because they had to wait for there food, even though they were told they were going to have wait prior to purchase. Be adults and be respectful this is a new business. We need to support all new small business in our community. They make all their sauces in house. I tried the El Fuego Spicy and Serrano Pesto and I was amazed to how authentic and spicy it tasted. Besides the tacos I tried the El Fuego Burrito and not only it was good but it was a very good size and good reasonable price. I loved how well organized the grand opening was, not only they served $1 taco but they were passing out free energy drinks, had music, a balloon entertainment for the kids, and a sketch artist. Thank you to the El Fuego team I will definitely come back.

We came as a group of 5 at 1:30pm, there were only 6 other people in the entire restaurant. It took over 45 minutes to get the entire groups food. 2 meals were chicken quesadillas, one was a bean and cheese burrito and they all took 45+ minutes. There was no care to make the food faster and there was no apology for the wait. They seemed totally fine that we waited that long for the food. There were enough people working to make this quicker. For a fast casual restaurant there’s really no excuse for a 45 minute wait.

We should’ve asked for a refund and just left. The food was fine but never again
