Top notch! While staying in the area we ate at several local restaurants. This was by far our favorite. We had dinner and had to come back for breakfast. It was amazing. I can’t explain how good it was but it is at the top of the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Not a fancy place but very inviting. The servers were ver friendly and prompt. The pricing was in line with the other local seasonal eateries. We will go back if we get a chance.

Great mexican food! Came for dinner and had the pork street tacos and the pork was very tasty. Came back for breakfast the next morning and had the smothered chorizo breakfast burrito it was delicious. Green chile was on point.

Had dinner there and went back for breakfast… food is very good! Breakfast burrito is one of the best I’ve had….street tacos were delicious. I liked the atmosphere and the patio was a nice place to hang out and have a beer!

If you would like to experience being a waitress, this is the place to go. We were never given drinks. One of us had to go inside grab cups and a pitcher of water, and serve our own table our drinks. We served our table more than our waitress did. Want your sauce on the side? They will charge you an extra $6 to remove it from your meal. We spoke to the manager twice and he just said “it is what it is.” I’ll resort to cannibalism before going back here.

The food was wonderful. Street tacos were great. You have look past wait staff. She had air pods in so she couldn’t hear us. My wife asked for some ice and she is still waiting three days later. A recurring theme is that you really have to help yourself.

Alex was great and had us taken care of quick! Got the smothered pork burrito and it was sooo good. Ohio doesn’t have good green chili, but El Catorce does! The queso was also on point and my 6 and 10 yr olds scarfed it down. The wife had two Margaritas since she liked the first one so much, helped she didn’t have to drive the whole vacation…

If you really enjoy rude management , service and subpar so called Mexican food this is the place for you. I especially liked being made to sit outside when there was seating inside. The cottonwood flurries flying in my face was amazing while sitting in the hot sun. I can’t wait to go back and serve my own water with no ice. If you haven’t tried that it’s truly a spiritual experience.

Four of us went in for breakfast when they opened at 9 am last Thursday. Two people ordered bacon which was presented over cooked to charcoal. The eggs were barely cooked. Three of us that ordered green chili had diarrhea within 30 minutes

Sausage was raw. Everything was a goopy mess. The gap between dishes being brought out was 10-15 minutes. The only charming thing about this establishment was the fact there was an umbrella to block the sun. Depressing waitress and the place was absolute blasphemy!

I enjoyed my dinner at El Catorce. It’s new to Lake City. The atmosphere was simple and clean. The food was good; menu was limited though. The service was spot-on.
