When we come to the Linn area to visit with family we always make it a point to come to El Carnival. The new location is really nice and very spacious inside so my kids love the open layout with tons of room to move around. It’s perfect for large groups and they have a MASSIVE bar area with a lot of drink choices. The food is sooo good and the portions are huge. The special burritos look like hulk hogans arm (RIP). The queso is very good and it too thin, if your kids are like mine I know you’re gonna be ordering it so that part matters. The fajitas are delicious and you get enough in one serving to feed two people, don’t be cheap I just mean it’s a lot and you will have leftovers. The employees are very friendly and not flat and absent like so many chain restaurants. I love to see small towns with business’s like this that are serving amazing food at reasonable costs and give you top notch customer service. The heartbeat of a local communities is the strength of their economy and El Carnaval is delicious and ensures you don’t have to leave town to get an amazing meal. Stay local, shop local and support the local people that make your community thrive.

The servers were very nice, and the atmosphere was good, but the food was lackluster. When I go to a Mexican restaurant and see something that says “shrimp and sauteed vegetables” I assume peppers and onions…but my plate had broccoli, cauliflower and carrots…which was very strange and unexpected. My sons quesadilla appeared to have no cheese and was absolutely soaking in what I assume was grease or moisture from the chicken.

Chicken cheese & rice, & fajitas, & quesadillas were all good. Steak dishes there are not good and I would not recommend. Service is sometimes good and sometimes slower, it all depends on the time you are there. Price are just mid range for a Mexican restaurant, it’s not super overpriced or super great value. My drinks and chips and salsa always got refilled quickly. Servers are nice. Got seated quickly. I also LOVE the guacamole mexicano and the chips are so good. 🙂

Just visited this spot and had a mixed experience. The service was pretty slow, which was a bit frustrating. Also, heads up—they charge a credit card fee, which is something to keep in mind. The food was decent, your standard American-Mexican fare, nothing extraordinary. On the bright side, the margaritas were definitely the highlight!
