A few moments at @ElCaminoPhilly…. home of the best Pig Wings!! A friend wanted some margaritas so why not head to El Camino. While, I experienced something new for my palate, reviews are always honest & real! Enjoyed my meal, but the lack of ingredients for summer cocktails on a holiday weekend was slightly disappointing. I ordered the Lavender Lemonade, Spicy Watermelon and Frosé. Each one wasn’t available, so I ended up getting a draft Modelo. I’m sure what ingredients were missing but with 2 supermarkets within a block radius, something could’ve been done to keep production moving in that area. I would’ve definitely spent more if the sips were sippin’! (I have 25+ years in hospitality/bar management and as a current farmer, if you need ingredients, allow me to help you source them. I.E…. I couldve had some lavender syrup made in an hour & delivered.)
My server & staff were pleasant & accommodating otherwise. My American Burger was cool with fries. The pineapple added flavor! I hadn’t visited El Camino in a few years honestly. I was excited about this visit but it fell a bit flat.
Overall visit: 6.5/10

Our server was very nice and attentive! Our appetizers were delicious between the soup + the taquitos. The margheritas are traditionally pretty good, but a little sweeter. The enchiladas + green sauce were delicious. However, the chicken entree we ordered was severely undercooked. The inside 1/3 was completely raw. I was disappointed in the chicken – they did comp us guacamole which was great, but it was tough to regain any appetite after the chicken. Desert was ok with their home made choco taco and creme brulee. The choco taco was good, but left more to be desired from something home made. The creme brulee was also just average. Ultimately for restaurant week + the drinks/tip it was about a $150 meal for 2 which for the amount of food/beverages was reasonable, but to be left with a quesy feeling in your stomach afterward wasn’t ideal. I think comping a drink or the meal itself (the chicken entree) would be a more reasonable/appropriate response rather than additional food after your appetite is gone. I’d give them another chance based on the other portions of the meal, but the amount of undercooked chicken on the breast was startling. It was almost as if they cooked the chicken in a microwave.

This restaurant is nice ! The food was flavorful and reasonable prices. Visited El Camino Real with friends during Sips! They had good deals and the margaritas were my favorite! This restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating and the staff is helpful and friendly. My Cons would be there’s only one bathroom and it’s a restroom, needless to say i had to make a hefty line to use the bathroom. Additionally the corn looks so great, but It lacked flavor. Pro tip. Add salt to the water when boiling the corns. 🙂 parking is tough so i suggest to Uber ! It’s the City.

We haven’t been here in years, but decided to hit them up when looking for a happy hour/bar vibes one Friday night a few weeks back.
Their happy hour goes until 7pm, which was clutch for us as we didn’t make it out until closer to 6. It still has the typically cantina vibes with wooden furniture, colorful flags/decor, etc. We sat at the bar and the bartender came over immediately to check in with us. Drinks wise, I initially got the Hurácan, but it didn’t feel strong enough so I ordered a Strawberry Margarita which was a special on the happy hour menu; he got two margaritas – the margaritas were made well! Mixed well so the taste wasn’t overpowering while we were drinking, but eventually we were feeling very nice. Food was pretty good. We ordered apps – Smoked Chicken Wings, Pancho Nachos with steak and Fried Calamari – and we enjoyed all the food.
Good spot to check out and we will definitely be back again soon.

I love their breakfast options and outdoor seating. They also have amazing seitan and I usually dislike it at other places.
They took the time to call me about my pickup order to clarify options in case I was fully vegetarian, since the refried beans had pork in them which was appreciated.

Went recently for dinner with a friend and the food was fast coming out and our server was extremely attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed my shrimp burritos, they had lots of flavor and weren’t too spicy. However the elote brussel sprouts could’ve used more seasoning or something to me. Also, the hibiscus margarita was good and they didn’t skimp on the alcohol. I like that you can order in multiple sizes (16oz, 32oz, etc) and share with a friend if you want. Other small complaint was that the cool air couldn’t be felt throughout the restaurant (the outside temperature was in the 90s) and we had to ask to be seated in a different section that was cooler.

Let be fair but firm. I have drove by this place many times and seen the tables full so I decided to try it out. We started with the Pancho Grande Nachos. They were ok especially since the order comes with no meat. Two issues the Nachos chips are paper thin so much first time I had to eat with a fork. Then i found a piece of broken plastic bread bag clip. I ordered the spare ribs which were pretty good. Meat was falling off the bone. Also had a order of pork belly that was also good. Now my wife order a chicken sandwich. Unfortunately that was a failed. Had zero taste and very messy. Another issue I have is when restaurants take it upon themselves to add the 20% gratuity. What if the service was horrible but I get it. From the crowd that was there i can imagine the server get stiffed on the tips. The place is dark inside reading the menu was a extra job and the place was loud better yet the people around us were over baringly loud. Would I return Nooo. But try it the ribs were the best thing for me.

It was freezing cold inside and windy outside. The guy noticed we were trying to move and said that it was fine honestly whoever that guy and the other guy I believe the runner along with the host were the reason for the 2 stars for service. Service was just rushed but that also could’ve been made known before we sat down or even after the first time we were offered a few minutes. Ordered the steak tacos disappointed the food was cold but the kitchen is closed so I got a box to give it to someone homeless because I’m not reheating medium rare steak. My daughter got a burrito the steak wasn’t even chopped/sliced it was just there with a square piece of cheese which would’ve been nice to know it’s not shredded if she chose another option. The pork shoulder looked more like processed pork or ham steak. The other waitress was kind enough to give us a bag overall disappointed we came on the 19th and Zoe was our server. For 20% gratuity to already be there the restaurant should deliver service and food deserving as such.

Went here for happy hour, the margaritas can come in a huge glass, and the quesadillas were also very good!

Clean restaurant, decent menu, great vibe and food delicious. It was my first time there and I truly enjoyed it. The chips and salsa were good, the Queso dip was amazing. I had the steak quesadilla and it was good. Lots of cheese and the meat ratio was perfect. Good flavor. My friend had the chicken tacos and he said they were really good. Ocean size are decent for the price. Service was great. Highly recommend this place.
