Amazing amazing food! Being from El Salvador myself, this is the best Salvadoran food I have found in Texas. The owner is really nice and kind! The beans are my favorite part. So much flavor. My family and I drive all the way from San Antonio just to eat here!

Lovely owner and service, amazing food. I haven’t tried much of the menu yet but the Pupusas have been incredible, leaving me craving them constantly! There is also a nice place to sit and look around

Wow, this place is phenomenal. I brought company from out of town, immediately upon picking them up from the airport. About 3 bites in, we agreed that this will be our new tradition: everytime they visit, we’ll come straight here for pupsusas, made by the talented Luisa.

I highly recommend this food truck!! It’s right off of Hwy 183 and the pupusas are delicious. I ordered the revueltas and the queso con calabaza and I really enjoyed them. The cheese was so melty, the masa was fresh, and the salsa was spicy. Also, YOU NEED to order the fried plantains. They are savory, sweet and come with frijoles and crema to dip them in. My other tip is to not bite into the food right away because it’s very hot and might burn your mouth when it comes out. Don’t miss out on El Buen Gusto if you like Salvadorian food.

This is a new little Salvadorian food truck that popped up recently in my neighborhood. It’s actually behind my neighborhood on 183 right across from the airport. I was excited when I saw it was a pupusa food truck!

I’ve never had pupusas but this experience was AMAZING! she makes everything to order and your food will be fresh and hot. Her chicharron and yuca are TO DIE FOR. I’m dominican and we make some mean chicharron but this was ELITE. do yourself a favor and try this place out! Btw: she’s open 30 minutes later on Fridays I added the cabbage in the pic. She gives it to you in a baggy.

My wife is from El Salvador, and we’ve searched high and low across Austin looking for decent pupusas. So glad we found El Buen Gusto, because this food is authentic! The salsa and curtido were delicious. The pupusas were cooked to perfection. We would eat here twice a week if we lived closer.

Everything we ordered was tasty but my favorite was the Yucca Frita. The fried pork that came with it was amazing, and I would get a whole plate of it if I could. The mild salsa was also delicious and flavorful. Fresh and made to order food, but cash only
