So here’s the deal. If you’ve read any of my reviews you know that Mexican food is my religion. The food was fine. I had been warned before I went but the parking lot was full so I was hopeful. After having eaten all I can surmise is people in Nebraaka don’t know good Mexican food. In their defense if they’ve never had good Mexican how would they know? My big problem with this place was the towel in the bathroom that is a leftover from 1970. It is an actual towel everyone wipes their hands on. While in the bathroom a child claimed to “wash his hands really good” which never went anywhere near the sink after he had pooped. His words. This is the towel the staff uses to wipe their hands on when they return to work which probably explains why I was sick the entire next day. Just plain gross.

I don’t think I’ve ever had worse food from a restaurant. The guacamole was seasoned almost exclusively with salt. The shredded beef in my chimichanga had no flavor. I’m not quite sure how they managed the meat flavor out of beef, but they did it. I’m pretty sure the salsa was just diced tomatoes and chili flakes. The predominant flavor in my meal was salt.

Traditional Tex-Mex. Great for what it is. Service is definitely friendlyand helpful. The cheese dip has changed over the years, we preferred it the way it used to be with real cheese, but bean dip is still great and doesn’t seem to have changed much at all over time.

The food here is ALWAYS amazing. There is not something on the menu you will regret to order. I would love to say I took photos but the food was ate before I thought about it. The server was new and not the best, but hopefully, she will pick up in no time.

We moved to waterloo and wanted to try el bees bc Mexican food is our family’s favorite and some neighbors recommended it to us. Service was ok and the atmosphere could use some work. The food tho….absolutely horrible. They don’t even give you free chips and salsa. I wouldn’t even call this Mexican food.

I really like the flour chips and the bean dip appetizer. There is something to be desired with the food. There are not really vegetarian options my wife got a taco bowl without meat once and the second time she just got a cheese quesadilla. They make up for it with their service. The kids menu offers burgers and other kid ‘safe’ foods as well as smaller portion food from their menu.

Food was just OK. Queso was just melted Velveeta. Used the restroom and it was out of soap, had a hand towel machine that was something from the 70’s. Weird! For this size of restaurant the men’s restroom was a one holer. Really!

The food is decent, owner is horrible. We were there at 5 tonight (it was not busy at all, there was one other table in the whole room). My 1 year old daughter was dancing around and laid on the floor right by our table. Bob took it upon himself to come over and pick her up off the ground. A verbal warning would have been just fine, he completely crossed the line by picking my child up. Do not reccomend bringing your children here. Will never come back to this place because of the owner.
