First time here. Such a cute restaurant and amazing food! Authentic Mexican at its best plus some non Mexican for the picky eater that wants to still go!

Born and raised in Southern California, Mexican food is a must for me……even if it’s been rare to find an authentic place here. It was okay, so I probably will not be going back. The rice had a sweet flavor to it, the beans were okay and the chili relleno itself was good. My daughter ordered tacos and she had me try one….a red sauce was used over the top of them and that had a sweet taste to it too. Obviously preferenced based, just not for me.

El Azteca definitely has a chill, welcoming vibe. And the staff? Super friendly. The food was flavorful, no complaints there. But let’s talk about these prices … whew! $6 for a baby-sized cup of guac (you know the little black cups with the clear plastic lids?) and $7 for a black bean soup that was half of a small Chinese takeout container. I ordered 2 items and a dollop of extra guac, and somehow my total hit $40. It was good, but not $40 for 3 items good. I recommend this restaurant, but know your wallet might leave feeling a little betrayed.
