I’ve tried a lot of Mexican restaurants throughout the United States. This place is not very big, but what it lacks in space it makes up for in delicious cuisine. The chips and salsa are wonderful. Crisp, flavorful and plentiful. The margaritas, whether you like on the rocks or slushy type, are truly delicious not overdosed with tequila but not skimpy either. Entrees are portioned well & tasty. Wait staff are attentive without being annoying. Pricing is fair. The restaurant is overall clean, bathroom (ladies) stocked well, always with soap and paper towels and attended to waste basket.

Three couples stopped for dinner. Friendly, family oriented restaurant. Nothing fancy on the inside but staff was very friendly. Everyone loved their dinner; burrito verde, enchilada verde, tortilla soup, chili releno, tamales, soft tacos & fajitas quesadilla . Only slight disappointment was Texas margarita. Wife thought it was just ok. Other that that, stop by and give them a try. It was very busy when we were there between 6-7pm.

Don’t let the front of this restaurant scare you away. The food is spectacular. Everything that we had was just delightful. Fajitas for two, chips and salsa, cheese dip, and sopapia’s – all great… The flavors were good. The adult beverages came with a frozen mug and the staff was awesome as well…

Enjoyed great steak fajitas tonight. A generous portion of perfectly cooked & sizzling steak, onions & peppers was served. Our waiter was very friendly & attentive. Extra chips, salsa & tortillas we’re happily provided. If you crave delicious Mexican food then go to El Agave!

Great Mexican restaurant. Food was fresh and excellently prepared. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant, sharing a building with a gas station store, looks and feels like a Mexican restaurant with green and orange colors and great curtains. Place was small with about 16 tables but three quarters of them were filled a 2:00pm. Lunch prices and portions were excellent. My burrito supreme had finally ground beef with a very nice cheese, guacamole, sour cream and tomato/onions. My wife’s taco salad had moist shredded chicken and was also delicious. Our lunches with ice teas was about $18. There is a small stand-up bar with dual frozen margarita machines just waiting for you. Great place for lunch with an authentic Mexican feel.
