This is so much more than a coffee shop. Ladelle and Fourth is the epitome of community. The coffee is incredible, the food is scrumptious, the variety is great, and the staff is amazing. It’s wonderful for kids, with a designated play space and great options for them (ice cream, cake, and soda… and lots of healthy options too!).
But, this place is so much more. This is a pillar of Dell Rapids. It’s where I met my best friends, finished my undergrad degree (free WiFi!), and took my children to meet their best friends. This is where I grew my relationship with Christ. I have belly laughed, cried the happiest and saddest tears, and built my entire community in this coffee shop.
I cannot recommend it enough. I’m crying writing this because I could just never imagine a Dell Rapids without Ladelle and Fourth, and it truly is the cornerstone of my entire community network. I owe so much to this place. Please go; you won’t regret it!

I can’t say enough good things about LaDelle. As a stay at home mom I come here to get some peace while my kids play in the play area. They are always rotating out toys so my kids stay busy and are so excited to come every time! With picky eaters my kids beg me to come here for breakfast their favorites are egg bowl and sausage croissant sandwich. We like to end with some sdsu ice cream and it end up being a perfect day spent with the kids. Their food is the best coffee shop food I’ve ever tasted. Also much cleaner ingredients! The atmosphere and service is unmatched. The owners have hearts to serve and are always taking time to listen to customers and even build relationships it feels like one big family when you’re here. I’m a regular customer for years now!

Love love love this coffee shop. The staff are truly the best. They always take the time to have conversations with the customers and the whole vibe is so comforting. Recently had some coworkers come visit and they had the best time sitting in the back catching up. It was the perfect place to get to have real conversations even though it was busy. We were still able to chat for hours and not feel rushed to leave. The coffee is always perfect. The Brown Sugar Latte is my personal favorite and am always patiently waiting for it to be back on the seasonal menu. The Blackberry Matcha is also a new favorite. The owners are amazing. They make you feel like you are apart of their family. Love seeing their kids playing and enjoying the costumers. Ladelle is a must stop if you are searching for community and conversation.

This is hands down the best small-town coffee shop I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you feel it — the warmth, the welcome, the sense of belonging. The owners are truly some of the kindest humans you’ll ever meet, and it shows in every detail of the space.
They’ve created something special here. It’s a place where young families feel completely comfortable (the kid area is such a gift!), where conversations linger, and where every person who walks through the door feels seen and valued. Whether you’re meeting a friend, bringing your kids, working quietly, or just needing a good cup of coffee and a smile — this place delivers every single time.
Our community is genuinely better because of this shop.

I absolutely love this coffee shop! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a wonderfully calming atmosphere. The space is decorated with lush plants that create a cozy, peaceful vibe — it feels like a little green oasis perfect for your dreary SD winters.
It’s also incredibly kid-friendly. My kiddos grew up going to the shop and playing and now get to enjoy it as teens. The play area always has fun toys and they rotate and update occasionally to keep it fresh. You can relax and the kids can play! The best!
Coffee —delicious! They know their stuff! The food is just as impressive, fresh and flavorful every time. The bakery items are SOOO good! The staff are alway warm & welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.
Whether you’re meeting friends, bringing your kids, or just looking for a peaceful spot to unwind, this coffee shop is a true gem. Highly recommend!

Ladelle is one of my favorite places! Their food, coffee and specialty drinks and are excellent quality. Have you tried their matcha? If not you are missing out! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Their baked goods are fantastic and are some of my favorites. There are different areas so you can meet with friends, do some studying or work, or let your kids play in the play area. Ladelle is a must stop if you find yourself in or near Dell Rapids!

I’ve been coming here for 10 years, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. My kids adore the play area, and the atmosphere is always so welcoming and friendly. Literally everything I’ve tried here is great, but our favorites will always be the Saturday cinnamon rolls!
Staff has always been friendly and we’ve always gotten our orders quickly. And I love how hard they work to continually come up with new treats and ideas for the customers to enjoy!
I have lived in Dells for most of 30 years, and I can confidently say that Ladelle and Fourth has been a fantastic addition to our community!

100% recommend! I go here to grade papers, meet with friends, day dates with my husband, attend bible studies, book clubs, and grab ice cream with the family. Our kids enjoy being in the play area with the play sets and toys that encourage imaginative play. Love the owners- married couple with a large family! They have a heart for the community and ALL customers. Great coffee for a great price.

I go to LaDelle and Fourth multiple times a week. It’s such a great place with amazing people. The workers are such kind souls and are always sharing smiles. The environment altogether is such a welcoming, open place. I truly recommend it to anyone who is ever needing a good pick-me-up or a little sweet treat. I love seeing the children playing and the people conversing. There is truly a place for everyone there.❤️

Do anyone’s kids use “quiet words and soft walking feet” when in a play area? I don’t think so… I don’t get how you can claim to be kid friendly and then be bothered when kids act like kids? I’ve been to so many coffee shops with my kiddos and I think I’ve gotten treated better at Starbucks than here. The owners want to cater towards teenagers working on their laptops and students coming for the vibes. Not families, and definitely not kids coming along with their parents to get through the rough winters here in SD. So disappointing and outside of Caleb, the workers are not very friendly… such a hostile environment for a family. God forbid they use their outside voices, how disrespectful! Do NOT come here. Go to Roaming Grounds the coffee is better anyway. 🙂
*Imagine lying that this coffee shop is for EVERYONE when trying to shame people for coming with their kids? Even getting comments from a worker about why people are having so many kids, while talking about my own kids to me and also loudly making the same comment to a customer about why people are having so many kids? Yeah these workers are so kind aren’t they?! So professional! Such a welcoming and KID friendly place.☺️
