Social Profile:

At Edley’s Bar-b-que we treat like an old family friend. We pride ourselves with not taking any shortcuts in the kitchen. Our meats are smoked low and slow using Southern white oak. The sides are made from scratch daily with the same amount of attention. Everything is done with intention, from the food to the service to the music. We strive to serve the best food we can make and prove ourselves a worthy host—one plate at a time. Guest favorites include our brisket, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding, and our famous boozy milkshake, the Bushwacker. We are open lunch and dinner with a full-bar, and we offer catering for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate lunches, family reunions, and more.

BBQ joint providing slow-smoked dishes & traditional Southern sides, plus fried chicken & catfish.

If you want barbecue that hits like a flavor freight train, Edley’s Bar‑B‑Que is absolutely the place to roll into. We walked in when things were still calm… and within minutes the dining room filled up like someone yelled “FREE BRISKET!” . When we arrived, they had everything except fries. By the time we left, the ribs had vanished too — always a good sign.

I ordered the Triple Star Plate with chicken, brisket, and pulled pork, plus potato salad and mac & cheese. Every single meat was juicy, well‑seasoned, and not even close to dried out — which is a miracle at the end of a busy day in barbecue land. The sides were spot‑on comfort food, the kind that make you consider unbuttoning your jeans halfway through the meal .

We sat at the bar, where Izzy was running the entire universe. She was bartending, taking to‑go orders, answering phones, juggling Uber Eats and DoorDash chaos, and still managing to keep everyone happy. Absolute rockstar energy. She deserves a trophy, a raise, and maybe a vacation.

Unfortunately, the only thing smokier than the brisket was the moment her manager stormed out. I normally don’t comment on operations, but this was… yikes. This guy — who was about my height (short) was carrying a full case of little‑man syndrome — chewed Izzy out over a DoorDash order in the middle of a rush. Threatened to take it out of her pay. In front of customers. While she was doing the work of three people. Meanwhile, I saw him in the dining room exactly once while the staff was scrambling to clear tables and keep up.

If the owner is reading this:
Your food is fantastic. Your venue is great. Your staff works their tails off.
Don’t let poor management ruin what you’ve built.
Good employees won’t stay where they’re disrespected — and customers notice.

Aside from that unnecessary drama, the food was delicious, the beer was cold, and the atmosphere was lively. Edley’s has everything it needs to be a top‑tier barbecue spot… just make sure the people doing the real work get the support they deserve.

This place is absolutely gorgeous the inside seating was spacious and the outside seating was exceptional great job to the design team. There’s a bar thats accessible from the outside seating area. There was also live music. We visited on Saturday after 3pm and there was not a wait time. I had the burnt ends and 1/2 slab of rib which both were delicious. My friend had 1/2 of a chicken which he said was amazing,I will say they flavor threw out the chicken was yummy. Sides baked beans where yummy, potatoe salad not to my liking,Mac and cheese yummy. We also had cornbread,it had small pieces of peppers in it and corn.
This place id definitely recommend also its family friendly Let’s not forget how attentive the waitress was, from the young lady taking the food order to the young lady who made my drink10/10 id definitely recommend!!

I’ve been there and let me tell you pal, this place blew my mind! So generous with the good stuff, so incredible the sliced brisket and the half avocado instead of bread is sheer joy. Excellent!

Not good over priced very fatty brisket they were out of chicken, turkey, pork steak, and more at 7 pm on Saturday night. Salad didn’t have nearly enough dressing and they force everyone to give a tip for essentially no work and pay for water. Save your money. Plus the inside is falling apart lol

1) Service 10/10
2) Food: 0/10, unable to eat. ALL fat.
3) Ordered burnt ends mushed in my mouth from the fat, fries hard as a rock. Called in a To-Go order and was very disappointed as this used to be my favorite go-to BBQ location. Throwing away and ordering a pizza tonight unfortunately. $40 down the drain. 🙁 i wish I read the reviews before I ordered.

The food was delicious. You have to order your food first and then sit down and they will bring it to you. I tried the Grits Casserole and it was delicious. I ordered the Brisket and Ribs combo with Green beans and Potato salad and it was great. You received nice portions of food for your money.

I ordered the burnt ends platter which came with grits casserole, cornbread, and one side. The cornbread was the only edible part of my meal. The burnt ends were entirely fat, and cold. The fries and grits were cold, and gross. I took my plate back to the window and informed them of the issues. The woman said she would “let someone know.” No one bothered to come out and talk to us or follow up. So I wasted $15 on food that I didn’t eat.

I order the Combo Plate, Brisket and Ribs. Brisket was Ok, ribs were so over done that the meat was literally hard. I couldn’t even break apart 2 of the ribs from each other.

Decided to order Ordered the burnt ends after a long shift at work, was looking forward to eating after a long day. Do not eat here if you’re looking to get full very small portions for the price. Bartender was nice though.

Driving through Illinois on I55, it’s worth the extra 12 minutes to get here. Food was delicious and fresh. The brisket tacos were packed full of flavor and tender brisket, with incrediblely fresh crisp tortillas.. the fries were perfect. We loved everything about the experience including the structural design and decor. We would definitely stop by again when given the opportunity.

Addendum 2025: we had the opportunity to stop by again and we left just as satisfied as the first time. The grit casserole was a nice addition to the sides, tasted extra creamy with just enough kick from the jalapeno. The full rack of ribs my husband enjoyed was also flavorful, tender and in the words of my 4 year old “pretty, pretty good”.
