My companions also enjoyed the experience and liked the 4 piece rolls so they could enjoy other rolls without getting too full.
We went for lunch right after they opened and didn’t have to wait to be seated.
Unfortunately I didnt remember to take pics of our food until we were almost finished. I will be returning again soon to try other menu items ! Highly recommend.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe was relaxed and comfortable. It’s the kind of place you can easily make a go-to, whether you’re grabbing a casual meal or bringing friends who love sushi.
Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
We ordered a ton of sashimi. The sashimi platter was only $35 with super generous portions — thick cuts, super fresh, and every fish was tender and delicious.
We also ordered madai and octopus sashimi separately (p1). Beautiful presentation and such great value.
We tried the uni as well — very fresh and reasonably priced.
Beef teriyaki: juicy ribeye with a slight Korean-style flavor.
Yellowtail collar: grilled fish cheek, firm yet fatty in the right places, seasoned simply with salt — pure protein goodness.
Overall, amazing value for money. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and prices are very reasonable — about $30–50 per person.
The interior is beautifully done with a cozy izakaya vibe, perfect for casual hangouts or date nights.
Went shopping at South Coast today and couldn’t decide on lunch, so I remembered this sushi place I’ve had my eye on for a long time—it’s right near the South Coast! It really didn’t disappoint; I’d say it was amazing.
We ordered:
Salmon Blue Crab Roll
This roll was absolutely incredible! The outside was thick, fresh salmon, and it was stuffed with sweet crab meat, creating an explosion of textures. With one bite, you get the rich flavor of salmon and the sweet freshness of crab meat. Highly recommended!
Various Sushi
We tried many types of sushi this time, including Bluefin Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Madai (Japanese Snapper), and Fresh Water Eel. Every single fish was incredibly fresh! Especially the Bluefin Tuna—it had a firm, melt-in-your-mouth texture that you could just tell was fresh. The Fresh Water Eel sushi was also fantastic; the eel was grilled to perfection and drizzled with a special sauce, making the flavor unbeatable.
Chicken Karaage
Classic Japanese fried chicken. The skin was super crispy, while the chicken inside was incredibly tender and juicy. Dipped in the sauce, it’s the perfect bite, and the kids kept asking for more.
Tako Yaki
These little balls were so authentic. They were golden brown and crispy on the outside, but soft and chewy on the inside, with big chunks of octopus inside. Drizzled with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise, and topped with bonito flakes, it was that familiar taste I love so much.
Baked Green Mussel
This dish was quite unique. The green mussels were topped with a thick layer of special sauce and baked until fragrant. The mussels themselves were very fresh, and combined with this creamy sauce, the flavor was very distinctive. A great try for those who love to experiment with new tastes.
Seaweed Salad
After all that fried food and sushi, the seaweed salad was a refreshing change. The seaweed strands were crispy, paired with a light sesame oil and vinegar dressing, which was very appetizing.
Tonkotsu Ramen
The ramen broth was especially rich; you could tell it was a long-simmered pork bone broth. It was warm and so comforting to drink. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and there was plenty of chashu pork—so satisfying.
Overall, the ingredients at this restaurant are all super fresh, and the flavors are spot on. We got there right when they opened at 11:30, and the place was full in 10 minutes, with a line starting to form. Highly recommended!

What we ordered:
1. We’ve heard rave reviews about their yellowtail collar, but unfortunately it was sold out by the time we ordered. Next time!
2. Nigiri – toro, uni, unagi, ikura and salmon. All were incredibly fresh and generously portioned for the price. Really, you can’t beat the price to quality ratio – Eat’s reigns supreme.
2. Salmon skin roll and handroll – crispy and flavorful.
3. Baked scallop roll – I don’t normally order rolls, but I have to make an exception when at Eat’s. Usually I feel like sushi rolls incorporate lower quality fish than the nigiri, sashimi, and handrolls – but this is clearly not the case at Eat’s. Anyway, this is my absolute favorite roll at Eat’s, and the scallops are refreshingly not overcooked and fresh, without that cheap fishy aroma. The roll itself is both savory and just a touch sweet – hitting all my favorite flavor profiles.
3. Bikini roll – my second favorite roll at Eat’s. Salmon, tuna, and tempura shrimp are the dominant flavors here. All great quality fish and very reasonably priced.
4. Soft shell crab – just a classic dish, and Eat’s executes this so perfectly. The perfect amount of batter to crab, and the dipping sauce is the perfect compliment.
5. Kaarage chicken – a solid choice for the less adventurous eaters.
6. Philly roll – reportedly the best my dining partner has ever had.
Service was amazing – we were greeted and constantly checked on by the servers. They did an excellent job topping up our waters and bringing out dishes quickly. Eat’s was a fantastic choice for a date night, and easy parking is always a plus. This and Takumi (their sister restaurant) will forever be our go-to sushi picks when in OC.
