The best Indian in Devon, not only was the lamb pasanda amazing, but the butter chicken was the best ive ever had. The service was impeccable, complimentary orange slices, shots (sambuca and coffee cream liquor) hot towels and a doggy bag for what we couldn’t finish as portion size was great. Deserts were lush i had a coconut ice cream in a coconut shell, the pina colada ice cream sundae was awesome. Nothing beats the standard of food atmosphere and service 1000% recommend.

I always go to Bollywood Spice but they are closed so thought I would try out the Eastern Eye, shouldn’t have bothered, ordered at lunchtime in advance for a 5.35pm delivery time, still waiting at 6.30pm, rang them up, it’s just leaving now as just been cooked, so why did it arrive cold !!!, I feel it very annoying that you order for a specific time but no one seems to care that they run late, they are very quick to take your money but don’t care about ringing you up to apologise. I would not trust Eastern Eye for their delivery service, Bollywood Spice have never let me down so can’t wait to go back there for when they reopen

The food was lovely. The menu has a lot of interesting and original dishes that you don’t see everywhere. The Hyderabad Murgh Lazeez was lovely – delicate flavours and not overbearingly spicy. With a variety of dishes ordered, everyone was very happy with their curry. Recommended!

Myself and my partner came for a meal, it was the best food and service we have had in a long time. 10/10 rating from us, and we’ve had our fair share of good meals out! Lots of complementary additions and attentive service. If you’re in the area, please eat here!

A fantastic Indian restaurant. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are good too. The staff also go the extra mile. I’ve been several times and always come away satisfied.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery on the deliveroo app. severely disappointed. was left waiting 2 hours from time order was placed to be told by the deliveroo help line “that they’re not able to deliver at your location in the moment and advised cancellation”. left hungry and now scrambling to find for something else for dinner at 8.30pm. do NOT recommend!! save your money and and time and order from elsewhere

Good food, lots of options in alacarte as well as buffet. But the staff is even more impressive, provided great service with a smile. Will definitely visit soon.

We ordered a collection when we go the food home we opened the panner tandoori to find a horid looking meal.dont think it had actually seen the tandoor oven. We rang the restaurant who were not much help. We returned the food back to be given the same food. Didn’t even give us anything for the inconvenience of having to come back. Will not be returning.

Eastern Eye serves Indian food. It’s quite a large premises so can easily accommodate large groups. It is located close to Newton Abbot Town Centre. There is on street parking outside but the restaurant does not have its own car parking. The meal itself was ok. It wasn’t anything to rave about. We did try picking meal’s that we hadn’t had before… But unfortunately the dishes were quite bland. Lacking depth of flavour.. we accompanied our food with some really nice sounding side dishes but unfortunately everything, kind of, tasted the same… I have to say we were given a complimentary side dish free of charge which was nice and I guess if your catering to the masses you might have to tone back some of the distinguishing flavours. But personally I didn’t find the food exciting enough. The waiters changed three times during the meal and I can’t say any gave outstanding service. Nothing to leave a tip for. We did ask about a dish being vegetarian and the response was ‘they thought the dish may contain raisins!?’
