We hosted a Bridal Tea Party at East Bay Meeting House for my sister the day before her wedding and it was perfect. We coordinated with Kim in advance and she made everything so easy and smooth to plan. They worked with the dietary restrictions in our group to be sure everyone could enjoy! The list of tea selections was long and fabulous! The food was presented in such a lovely manner and everything tasted delicious. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. I would recommend East Bay Meeting House for a casual meal or fancy life celebration!

Cozy little spot for coffee, tea, tapas or a drink. We reserved a table for Tea time at 3pm. Adorable selection of teas, mini sandwiches and desserts. They took care of us and made my birthday feel special! Will definitely return!

Cute little spot! The food was delicious. Thought I made reservations for afternoon tea but realized they only do it at 3:00pm. Still went for lunch and was not disappointed. Highly recommend!

Loved our brunch! We were walking by and decided to pop in on Sunday afternoon. We were seated at a table for 2 inside since it was rainy. The space is cozy/intimate. We ordered a salmon eggs Benedict and salmon bagel for brunch. Food was delicious and the portions were reasonable. We also ordered the lemon cake slice dessert and it was so good we wanted to go back Monday to take a slice home. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, otherwise we would have! Staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Will recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We had the most fabulous baby shower! This is such a charming venue with attentive staff and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed working with the owner to plan the event. She made it easy. The decor was charming and the food and presentation was top notch. I highly recommend supporting this locally owned, small business.

Looking for a delightful afternoon in downtown Charleston? Try Common House for afternoon tea. This quaint establishment offers a classic afternoon tea (reservations required) complete with numerous leaf teas choices and delicious tea sandwiches and sweets The service was excellent – Jason immediately welcomed us and was attentive throughout the entire experience. We passed a delightful relaxing afternoon. The table was set with white linens and all the necessary service ware which added to the lovely ambience. As a native New Yorker it brought back fond memories of tea at the Waldorf. Definitely a delightful way to pass an afternoon in Charleston. Our thanks to the team who made our afternoon

Don’t go to this place if you are hungry because you’ll surely come empty stomach after ordering a full meal from its lunch menu. The portion size is so small that even a small size subway sandwich is more filling. (See picture of a $20 quiche I attached)

Also, I was asked what side I need with my dish in a way that it comes complementary with the dish but they charged me for that in my check. Even the server was shocked and went to check the system again for any mistake but eventually charged me.

I asked to talk to the manager but he refused to talk to me. Such a rude and arrogant attitude is not what I was expecting from such a restaurant.

My husband and I recently stumbled upon this place unexpectedly after leaving a meeting nearby. The overall atmosphere of this sweet little place was so cozy, and a bit romantic I might add. Our food was delicious, and as tempted as we were by the coffee bar, we opted for a pot of tea instead, and it was spectacular! Being able to find a quiet spot for a few moments in such a busy town really makes this a hidden gem in my opinion! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Charleston!

Atmosphere is charming and intimate. There was a had written card reserving the table. Jon, the server was amazing and accommodating with my gluten sensitivity. I recommend the Paris Market plate and strawberry lemonade tea. I hope to have a chance to go back for a high tea experience.
