Before we went there, we looked at their website online for this particular location. When we got there I asked for the plate I saw that has bruschetta, green olives, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella and balsamic glaze. The staff had no idea what I was talking about and said it must’ve been another location. The girl at the register suggested the sub/fountain drink combo, even though I initially only wanted water with lemon. I also ordered the bruschetta to share. I filled my drink and proceeded to the table, noting how very uncomfortably hot it was in there! Once seated, I looked at my receipt to see why it was so much since she didn’t tell me the price of the special. They up charged me.75 for lettuce, .75 for onion, .75 for tomato and .50 for Mayo. I went to the counter and canceled the sub. I ordered a slice of pizza and asked for a garlic knot, which I was told I could not get just one. Who can eat 3 of them? When the pizza came I immediately noticed that they used canned mushrooms and not fresh, very disappointing. When the bruschetta came it was 4 very small pieces with no fresh mozzarella or balsamic glaze. Again very disappointed. My coworker got the mini canolis and because they were sitting in a cooler already filled, they were soft and mushy! Any true Italian knows that you can’t pre fill canolis. Again disappointed! I guess I was expecting this experience to be at least as good as the location on the north side or Bartow. Both of these locations are fabulous!!! So to say that my experience today was disappointing would be an understatement!

The penne Alfredo sauce was good and so was the manicotti. My gnocchi was ok, but I wish I had gotten manicotti. The cheese was hot and it was delicious (I had a bite of my daughter’s order).

They ran out of garlic knots which was sad. That was part of the reason we were coming. We ended up with 3 out of 5 breadsticks we should have gotten with our orders, but they had run out of garlic knots and breadsticks. I feel like they could have substituted something else, but they were done and wanted to be off for the holidays already.

There was a family who came in after us and apparently they were told they could sit and eat at first, but then they were told that they needed to go/could not stay to eat.

Overall, the food was pretty good. The Parmesan cheese ran out and we were able to grab some from the fridge on the side by the door without having to wait for someone to get it which was good because after they drop food off, they don’t come back since it’s a pay and then sit down to eat vs. servers. If we were relaxing and trying to enjoy our meal, I don’t think the ambiance was right for that. The people were cleaning up and getting ready to check out for the night and they were closed the next day so I would say they didn’t need to be open if they wanted to leave and were going to make sure the customers felt like they were a burden.

The food was probably 3.5 stars, but I gave them a 3 since it wasn’t super welcoming.

I’m going to address 4 things, food, service, atmosphere, and cleanliness.

(1) Food: Great food, came out within ~13 minutes. We ordered a X-Large pizza and 3 fountain drinks. The total was around $15 total and that was for 3️⃣ people!!

(2) Service: Amazing service, we walked in and someone was ready to take our order.

(3) Atmosphere: There was 1 of 2 TVs playing. GMFB was on if you’re a sports person, I highly recommend this atmosphere.

(4) Cleanliness: The tables, clean. The faucets, clean. The men’s bathroom, 70% dirty. The urinal was disgusting shown below ⬇️.

I highly recommend this pizza place!

Delicious and very fresh ingredients! Just moved here and this is less than a mile from my house, so I’m happy to have found a great pizza place nearby! (Deluxe Supreme pictured below)

I’ve been going the highland city town center location for years. Loved everything I’ve ordered throughout their menu. I don’t know what’s going on but this will be the third time I have received a gooey, wet, underdone pizza within the last couple of months. Same with the salad. Soggy and wet. They are supposed to take orders until 8:30, but I’ve called long before that and it will ring and ring until someone picks it up and doesn’t say a thing just sets it on the counter while you listen to activity, never even having the decency to acknowledge you. You call back, same thing.I know it gets busy but that’s rude and ridiculous. If your business is overwhelmed and you’re unable to keep up at least say so. I’ll go elsewhere. Sad. So many decent establishments going bad. I hope they take this as constructive criticism and correct the issues I and other patrons are complaining about. Trying to finish it off off possible in oven where as you can see the liquid is dripping through the holes.

We’ve been loyal customers here for over 7 years, often driving 20+ minutes across town because we used to love the food. Unfortunately, the service and accuracy have declined noticeably.

On our most recent visit, we ordered a Sicilian Grandma pie for pickup. We specified at least four times over the phone, clarifying that we wanted the square, thick-crust version. What we received was a thin Grandma pie. This isn’t the first time in recent months that our order has been wrong, despite being very clear.

While they did offer to remake the pizza, it would have been a 30-minute wait, and we still ended up paying full price for something we didn’t order. After repeated mistakes and a lack of care, it’s hard to justify continuing to come here.

I can no longer recommend this place. The quality of service just isn’t what it used to be, and it’s disappointing after so many years of loyalty.

Palace pizza has a few spots around Polk County, the Highland City location is just as quality as the rest. The pizza is waiting ready and heated up by slice when you come in. The dough is excellent and the toppings are quality. The price is very good value for 2025 you can get a good filling meal for ~$10

don’t know what half pepperoni half cheese means. they serve slop and don’t care. oily and bad. the employees there have always been arrogant and don’t care about their jobs. maybe management needs to take a look at who they hired because these employees DONT CARE what they serve. if someone orders a half and half pizza that means half and half, not throw pepperonis on a pizza and see where they land. these employees will be the downfall of this place. sad. and this is not the first time we have ordered a half and half pizza and it doesn’t come out half and half. irritating.

Sadly we won’t be back. Went for lunch the other day because my daughter wanted spaghetti. It was close to home so it’s where we ended up. I got the Meatball Parm Sub and my wife got a Calzoni. The kids spaghetti was $7.50 for a bowl of spaghetti with plain pizza sauce. No drink or side included. My sub tasted good until I woke up at midnight with stomach cramps and threw it back up. My wife said her calzoni tasted good until the next day when her stomach cramped and hurt all day. Next time we want Italian we will go to an actual itialian restaurant that doesn’t baste their food in butter and doesn’t make us sick. Not another hole in the wall pizza joint that over charges. I added pics for proof we were there. Food looks and tastes good, but it caused us GI problems after eating it.
