Um, I’m still speechless from our dining experience. Traveling for business 50% of the time, I enjoy trying many different styles and locales. I’m open to wherever serves great food. Well, this isn’t the place! This was by far the worst meal I’ve eaten in 20 years if not my life. Literally. The shrimp was bad in both aspects of freshness, smell and preparation. The fried fish tasted like bathrooms smell. Where did the 5 star reviews come from? Maybe we were on Candid Camera and weren’t made aware of it? Regardless, we paid for our meal, laughed incessantly and drank tequila upon arrival home to kill any food poisoning spores that were planning on taking hold in our intestines. I must say that the service was good and the server gracious. The beer was cold too. That’s where the 1 star came from.

Love the smoked wings and gator! Be prepared for a possible wait, but the food is worth it. Sit back, enjoy the live music, a cocktail , and the great company that is sure to be there!! I have a large time every time I go:)

I’m not sure where the fake reviews are from but definitely stay away. I would rate it a zero but google won’t let me. No one wants to wait on tables or serve drinks and the food was absolutely terrible. My wife had broken glass pieces in her drink. The fried fish was the worst I’ve had. No smoked meat at all except for chicken wings. What smoke house?

Can I strongly suggest you hire some one with restaurant experience. When we walked in at 7:45PM last night 80% of the people already seated had not been served by 8:30 At 8:45 we indicated we had to leave as my wife missed lunch and needed something to eat NOW. The girl at the bar grabbed our ticked and ran to the kitchen and promised our order wound be right out. At 8:54 our order arrived ahead of 60% of the people that were seated when we walked in.

Been to Earl’s many times, always a great place. Last night, no so much. They were busy, but we waited 2 hrs after ordering food, with many promises of “coming soon”, and many others ordering after us getting their food. Finally gave up and went elsewhere. If we give them another chance, won’t be any time soon.

Worst food and service ever!!!! I ordered BBQ Shrimp. It tasted like swamp water and no BBQ what so ever. The cajun potato salad had no cajun taste. I couldn’t even finish my meal. The fish fry was 2 fish sticks and 1 small frozen potato pancake. AND we waited 55 mins to get that nasty food!!! Will NOT be back!!!

Should have read the reviews BEFORE we went here. The “bar tender” is a joke. She had no idea of beer names, except for miller/bud. I do get this is a “hunters lodge” but if you serve more then miller/bud then you should know what the other beers are.

Well some friends told me to go here for crawfish….and my reaction was WOW!! What a wonderful and friendly place!! Earl is a gem!! The crawfish were great!! You have to know somebody who knows somebody to figure our where it is………..but what an incredible treat it all was. If you’ve been to Spooner, Minong, or Rice Lake, and liked the places you found there, you don’t have to go far north to enjoy the same ambiance and enjoy better food.
