Always delicious
Service can be slow. Table yourself near the kitchen for quick cart service! Getting more and more expensive group of six, not wait

Traditional Chinese restaurant in Little Saigon in San Jose serving authentic dim sum. Was here on a Saturday morning and was glad to font crowd or lines. Place’s frightfully large may be the reason why. Well staffed and quick service. Uses the traditional push carts for dim sum dishes – food is of good enough quality and prices are reasonable. Worth a visit when in area.

Dynasty Chinese Restaurant offers a decent dining experience with its dim sum and duck dishes during afternoon lunch. The ambiance was pleasant, with comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere suitable for casual dining. The dim sum selection was varied, although some dishes lacked the expected freshness and seemed reheated. The flavors were satisfactory overall, but not exceptional.
The duck dish was well-prepared, with crispy skin and tender meat, but it did not stand out compared to other similar dishes I’ve tried elsewhere. The portion size was adequate for sharing, making it a good choice for groups. However, I found the pricing slightly on the higher side considering the portion sizes and quality of some dishes.
Service was friendly but could be more attentive during peak hours. It took a bit longer than expected to receive our food, which impacted the overall experience. While Dynasty Chinese Restaurant offers a solid selection of Chinese cuisine staples, there is room for improvement in terms of consistency and service efficiency to elevate the dining experience.

The restaurant dim sum is on the 2nd floor. You could walk up there or take elevator. It is one of the big restaurant that I know. You could have dim sum daily morning to afternoon. The food is above average and come out fast so you don’t have to wait for long. Sevice is good but lack of smile . I think they need to smile and ask for helping more to have a warmer welcome their customers.

Dynasty Chinese Cuisine on Story Road is a go-to for weekend dim sum and large family gatherings. The space is massive, with banquet-style seating and carts rolling by with staples like har gow, siu mai, and BBQ pork buns. Dishes arrive hot and fast if you’re seated near the center, though service can be hit-or-miss in the outer sections. The menu leans traditional, and while prices are slightly higher than average, portions are generous and consistent.
Parking is plentiful but fills quickly during peak hours, especially on Sundays. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with elevator access to the second floor, and high chairs are available for families. Vegetarian options exist but aren’t clearly labeled, so asking staff is a good idea. It’s a solid spot for dim sum lovers who don’t mind a little hustle and bustle with their meal.

A very unique experience where different servers come with a cart and start offering you dumplings / noodles etc. unlike how we always place order with server by looking at menu lol. Very fast and efficient service though.
Must try: Har gow and fried shrimp ball ( eat with their hot chilli sauce )
My advice would be to take 1 dish at a time, because they turn cold very quickly.

This is my family’s go-to for dim sum in San Jose. It’s located on the second floor next to the Grand Century Mall. The roasted peking duck is one of my favorites here since they make it super juicy and flavorful. This is one of the legit dim sum spots since they have carts to push the dim sum around for you to order. They also have a menu that you can request to order items that don’t see on the menu.

I have dine this place about a year ago. Everything was fine but last Sunday, I was there around 2:30pm for late dim sum we over order our foods because looking thru the menu. But after all the food came out and we just sample a few items the waitress came out and want me to settle the bill of $264.00 plus automatic 18% service fee or tips. I asked them why and the repones was they have to close out the cashier money. I felt like that they feel like I am not going to pay or what. Very disappointed and most of the food was bad tasting due to the lateness for dim sun at those hours. We did way over order our food, but they didn’t warn me that would be too much. I guess they don’t care and counting on automatic 18% tips. Never again that I will dine or recommend this lousy restaurant for anyone.

Not sure why I have not written a review for this restaurant. We come here at least once a month for dim sum. Their dim sum dishes are always on point with right texture, taste and steamy hot. They have all the typical dim sum and many specialty dishes as well like steamed beef tripe, crispy roasted pork belly, and Cantonese stir fried egg noodles etc. I also found this place service by far is much better than other Asian restaurants. The service staff is very pleasant and attentive to their guests. Bravo to the staff.

Here’s a cautionary tale. This place is not reliable for take out. If you want to fine dine, I would recommend this place. Beautiful environment, friendly staff. But not for take out. We ordered Spicy Shrimp but got Spicy Chicken. We ordered 4 items, close to a hundred dollars. For that amount you would expect to get accuracy. I always see high priced restaurants as having the best of everything, including service. When we called in, I recall my wife clarifying Shrimp. The overall taste of the food did not reflect the cost, below average. Check prices before you order, check your food before you leave.
