⭐️ PROS
– The sauce was excellent, rich and well seasoned.
– The pasta itself was very good and cooked properly.
– The bread was amazing and easily one of the highlights of the meal.
– The pomegranate martini was my favorite drink of the night.
– The truffleinis appetizers were unreal and honestly the best thing we’ve ever eaten. We would come back just for those alone.
⛔️ CONS
– The chicken tasted like frozen dinner, pre-cooked meat.
– The meats lacked flavor overall and were disappointing.
✅ FEEDBACK
– Glasses of water should be brought automatically.
– Salt and pepper should already be on the table.
– A basket of bread should come by default.
Even with the downsides, we still had a really fun evening and don’t regret choosing this place for Valentine’s Day. With a few improvements, especially on the meat side and basic table setup, this could be an excellent spot.
First, this is not the restaurant the video makes it seem like. It’s basically a standard pizzeria with a small dining area on the side nothing “high-end” about it. The place was empty, yet my partner and I sat for almost 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. When we finally got our sodas, another 10 minutes had passed. No bread for us, but the table that arrived after us got some right away.
I started with the fried mozzarella, which was actually very good and honestly the highlight of the entire meal. For our mains, we ordered the Penne Firenze and the short rib rigatoni. The wait for the food felt endless, and the waiter never once came by to give us an update or see if we needed anything. By the time the food arrived, I was already frustrated — and then the first bite made it worse. My dish was dry, bland, and disappointing. I paid an extra $7 for the bread bowl, and it wasn’t even worth a dollar. I had asked about swapping ricotta for burrata — they wanted another $7 for that too, so I skipped it. The Penne Firenze was definitely better, but still not enough to save the night.
The service didn’t improve. Our waiter never checked on us once throughout the entire meal.
For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake totally average — and a cannoli that was barely edible. To top it all off, the spoon for both of our desserts came covered in whipped cream… on the handle. I’ve never seen that before. I had to ask the busboy for clean utensils because our waiter only seemed to appear every 25 minutes.
Overall, the food, the vibe, and the service were a letdown. I won’t be returning.
The restaurant was very busy. Service was kinda slow. Our waitress was very friendly. I think she was just very busy so it wasn’t a big deal. Our food took about 45 minutes to come out. We had to ask where it was.
The food was good. The bread bowl is unnecessary, but that’s just my opinion. My biggest gripe was the portion size difference between my food and my girlfriend’s. Her bread bowl was filled to the brim with pasta and over loaded with fried chicken and cheese. My bowl had very little pasta in it. Considering my meal was about 40 dollars this made me really annoyed.
Overall, I’ll try them again. Maybe when they’re less busy. The food was flavorful.
