Food was good. Big Tree Burgers were good size 1/3 pound. Philly Cheese Sandwich was good came with homemade chips. Stuffed Avocado was good. Onion Rings were good but not enough for the price, sorry didn’t get to take a photo, thats how few were in the basket. Cold day when we went and was cool inside had to sit up at the front entrance which was a little cool. Wouldn’t allow you towards the back if your group wasn’t larger. Service was good. Our server was new and did a great job checking in on us. Food came out quick. Everything is a la cart. Burgers separate from fries. Look to spend about $15.00+ per person pending your drinks. Yes I would recommend this place. Food was good and Burgers were good size. Looked at some other options from other orders coming out everything looked very appealing. Food was great we had the jalapeño Mac & cheese bites and the crab stuffed jalapeño for appetizers. I highly recommend both the crab stuffed jalapeños was so delicious especially with the sauce that came with it. The sauce was sweet with the spicy jalapeño. We also had the jalapeño popper burger and the fried oyster basket. My husband said the burger was really good and the fries were perfectly seasoned. The reason I gave three stars is because our service was not the greatest. There was three women there and they were serving all the tables together. If I were to recommend a change it would be creating sections for the servers so that they can focus on their own sections instead of working on all tables together. We waited 45 minutes to order and then waited a little over an hour for the food.

Pops is a dive bar with mostly fried food and burgers. I’ve been there many times through the years. I have to say the food has gotten much better. Be sure to try the specials. The Pescado Neptune nachos is excellent!

Went in to order today and all I wanted was a Smokey cheddar and bacon burger, fries and onion rings to split with my friend. Waited forever, got like 5 onion rings and my burger had no bacon no cheese, wilted lettuce and no veggies. The patty was smaller than the bun.
Only reason we went there was I bragged about the burgers cuz it was amazing last time I was there. I did order my burger all the way. Guess the cook doesn’t know what that means.
Never going here again, was so lame the food was not that great.
Very disappointed, will not be returning after today.

Took a road trip just for lunch, and it was totally worth it. The place was packed, but Cheryl handled the rush like a pro—super friendly and on top of everything. The burger? Absolutely outstanding. Might just make this drive a couple times a week. Pops for the win!

Cool stop for a drink. Food is kind of meh… The jalapeno gator bites are like small budin balls with a bit of gator in the center. Overall disappointed. Not much jalapeno and kind of mushy.
The burger patty was good. But they could have toasted the buns on the grill for 10 seconds to heat them up and improve the flavor.
Nice people. But…
You best bet is to stop at McDonald’s or Whataburger if you’re on the road.

This is a great place for an adult drink and some delicious food. Weekends are busy so be prepared to wait for your food. We got the stuffed avocados and redfish nachos, amazing!

No BS place, and its awesome! The staff was all super nice and friendly, our food came out quickly and it was top notch. We had the catfish po boy and a fried shrimp basket, they came perfectly fried: crunchy and flavorful, without any spec of oil. We’ll definitely go back to try other dishes.

As always, you all know I travel a lot and this is a must for you to have onion rings that will make you want more and more. I also had the turkey club and it was AWESOME. Great service and very friendly staff. You must go…you will thank me.

Pop’s Place by far has the best fried oysters around (when in season). You are given a choice as to how you want your oysters fried (soft, medium, or crispy). Delicious! The service is great, the atmosphere is friendly and laid back.
