Visited this Korean eatery after visiting another one in Memphis a few weeks prior. Instead of getting a meal cooked in the kitchen, we decided to try the BBQ option where you grill your own meats. We got chicken, beef, and pork during our visit. The meats were all good and the sides that come with it were good but it would be nicer if the portions were a bit bigger. The service was good and it wasn’t too crowded. Not a bad restaurant though and I would visit it again.

I went for lunch with a friend since it was nearby work. It was mostly empty so I figured the food would come out in a reasonable time even if I dined in. A portion of the menu was not available and we only found out as we were placing our orders. My friend ordered bibimbap and was told to receive the bibimbap in a stone bowl would cost extra otherwise it would come with rice on the side and in a regular bowl. She ordered it without the stone bowl thus her rice came on the side. That’s not bibimbap nor was it worth that price. I ordered bulgogi and a half order of the dumpling appetizer. Bulgogi didn’t really taste good stuff the dumpling was greasy and gummy when you bite it. It stretched with resistance with any bites I took. We were also given a hand-written list of side items to choose 3 from, so that somewhat evened out the prices on the menu. However, when we were ready to pay, there was a gratuity fee added to both of our receipts. We were just 2 people and we didn’t order anything special or unique, there’s nothing on the menu or near the entrance that says there’s a gratuity fee for a party of 2 and up. So not only was the food overpriced and underwhelming on top of slow service, we got a surprise gratuity fee. I wont be heading back there. You can make better Korean food by just going to the international market and buying the ingredients to cook it at home. Don’t waste your money here. The waitress was nice though so there’s that but that’s about it.

The owner took care of us personally and the food was amazing. A million times better than anything I’ve had across the street at Mulan. Highly recommend, and will def be back. Spicy shrimp BBQ was so fire! The bulgogi beef was also delish. Nothing but good vibes and good food here.

Waitress was sweet and attentive. I got the food that I grill yourself and it was a fun experience and I absolutely devoured the food. It’s great to go with friends, family, or your partner.

Having been a regular at the OG location on Hacks Cross, I was completely satisfied with my first time visit at the Midtown location. I would recommend a light jacket if you’re not going to be grilling at your table, as it was a bit chilly inside, but it was understandable why.

Great Korean place. I have been here twice. Once I had a noodle dish and the other time a soup. Both were delicious. Also the kimchi is one of the best I tasted.

I thought it was good. A fun little place to stop. Our service was good. I’m not sure what we ate but we cooked it at the table.

Arrived on a quiet weekend night, not too busy. Bibimbap was pretty good. Pajeon was slightly undercooked but still ok to eat. Waitress was friendly and welcoming.

Been here twice now. First time ordered out of the kitchen, second time grilled our own and brought in a bottle of wine. Both times were delicious!

Kind staff with great service but wonder why Galbi was that expensive. We expected a bigger one tho…. you know like a real Korean bbq grill or something. I think it deserves around $16-20, not $26. Side dishes like zucchini and fish cake tasted a little weird. It was not worth lunch for $50.
