This place is an absolute gem. Small, “locals only” feel but inviting to everyone. It’s a hole in the wall without being a dive bar which isn’t easy to separate the two. The unassuming kitchen arguably spits out the best bar food in the area. Fresh scratch rotating soups are a staple. Today was the Tuscan and on a cold day it’s second to none. The cheeseburger is simple but perhaps that’s why it’s so good. I used to live here but have been gone a long time, but it’s a “must have” every time I come back. Wonderful staff, warm cozy environment. It’s become a highlight every time I come back to visit.

Classic hole in the wall bar that hasn’t changed in 50 years or more. Great low-key, chill vibes. The kind of place you don’t want everyone to know about. 5 stars.

This is the bar everyone wants to have in their local town. Good food..no great food. Small venue but very good and even had a vegetarian option. Drinks are strong..atmosphere friendly. Would definitely stop again. Stop by for the Olympics stayed foe the atmosphere. Elie and Tom behind the bar and grill..both excellent!!

Chill. Period. With an efficient-yet-comprehensive tap set and, what I’ve never seen: the matching brand pint glasses. Above-and-beyond attention to detail. Locals will respect you for knowing this place.

My new fav pub! Old style place in a historic neighborhood, wish I lived near this joint. Was heading up to Boston and was in the mood for a pint and burger. Ellie was a very friendly and great bartender, had the clam chowder and burger. And even got some soup to go for my kid which tells you how good it was! A very cool cook ( sorry didn’t get his name) who clearly enjoys his craft. Can’t wait to try his chili.
Nov 2025 update. Had the chili twice over the last year, excellent flavor, took some home ( to Boston) both times, that says something ! Had the RI chowder today for the first time, very clean and flavorful, not as creamy as the New England variety but really liked the consistency and clams, took a bowl home ( again ) and my kid loved it. Also had the chicken sandwich today, excellent job Tim, as always

This place is a gem. Stumbled across it while traveling for work. Laid back atmosphere. Small but very well done lunch menu. This is where the locals hang.

The Dutch is an old school beer and wine bar with dabblings into cocktails. (Prepackaged/canned tails) The staff is great and the regulars are entertaining. It’s a place to have a lot of fun.

It was the first time I’ve ever been here. Had a good time with my son on his birthday.

I was there to order , the cook blew his nose & did not wash his hands so disgusting . & when I mentioned it to the lady (owner) I believed she was with purple hair she laughed it off . I didn’t think that was funny not one bit it was so unsanitary . If that’s the kind of business u run NO THANK YOU ! People forget you’re not cooking for your children or family maybe u can get away with it but not when the community is involved.

If I were President (unlikely) every town in America would have a place like this. Great lunches, wonderful service. Proud to be a New Londoner, and this is one of the reasons why.
