I’d like to point out that this is not the same Taipei Cafe as the one in Rockville Maryland. I see that the majority of the photos and even some reviews for the other Taipei Cafe ended up on this page, which is extremely misleading. The name of this restaurant is also misleading. There’s nothing Taiwanese about this place. They don’t serve any Taiwanese style dishes. This place is your typical Americanized Chinese take out, serving things like Kung Pao chicken, moo goo Gai pan, and orange chicken. So don’t confuse them with the other Taipei Cafe and know what you’re expecting.

I love, love this restaurant!! My family craves the pork with dry bean curd (tofu) which isn’t even on their menu but they make it special for us!! I’m familiar with authentic Taiwanese cuisine and this is my entire family’s favorite dish. It is unavailable at any other Chinese restaurant, you must try it!!

I been ordering here for a while and I called today to make an order and I forgot to tell them that I wanted my order small, I literally called a minute after and she said they couldn’t do the order small because the chef had started cooking the chicken and it only had been a minute. They couldn’t make the order small so I had to cancel she kept on insisting that they couldn’t do the order small. They are terrible if you have a business you should treat your customers first and compromise with what the customer wants I think that should be the number 1 priority of a business. The absolute worst orange chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken has no flavor and the breading around the chicken has less flavor then the white rice that come with the order. Never again will I order food from there again.

Today it was good. Lunch portions are enough for 2. They have the best shrimp spring rolls.And they even throw in a free soda of your choice. But, I still wish the original owner, I he father was there. He was a very nice man. Hope he is enjoying his retirement. I been going there since they opened. Years n years.

Great customer service! The cashier was friendly and welcoming. Also recommended multiple dishes when I wasn’t too sure what to order. The price is also really reasonable as free sodas are offered before 3pm. Would definitely stop by sometime soon.
