We were looking for some authentic BBQ from a ma and pa establishment before leaving Texas on vacation. We found Duncan’s. First, the owner, didn’t catch his name, was very friendly, personable, and had excellent customer service. He explained his sauces, let us taste the food first, shared the history, and his prices were reasonable and affordable. It’s a tiny place, but a big, welcoming atmosphere. If you get a chance, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Greg Scales the owner operator was an extremely gracious host to our scout troop of 11 scouts and scouters. The food was excellent, delicious and filling. While we ate in the restaurant, he entertained the troop with stories and food trivia. Everyone left satisfied and full. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would love to return if we are able to.

The sides are all store bought from United. The sandwiches are flat like a PB & J. This is not Texas style BBQ, nothing is original here, and I would not recommend this to anyone. For anyone who has been to a real Duncan’s BBQ this isn’t it. To top it off the owner is more interested in talking to his friends and made it seem like an inconvenience we were even there. Don’t need an attitude just need something to eat.
