There are secret places the locals go for exceptional food. It’s not about glitz and glamor nor hot and trendy, it’s about good food that satisfies the taste buds. Enter Drip Drop BBQ Shop, perhaps the best untold secret in Hot Springs. There isn’t much to the atmosphere, but the brisket and pulled pork will definitely make you overstuff yourself. Most brisket looses beef flavor because of over smoking or higher temps causing the meat to drain moisture. Drip Drop’s brisket is cooked very very slowly allowing the meat to be cut with the grain versus against the grain. The result is brisket that actually tastes like beef, almost a beef roast meets brisket flavor. Their BBQ sauce is very pleasing and doesn’t distract from the flavor of the meat. It doesn’t have much heat but it has just a little bit of sweetness that makes each bite better than the last. The pulled pork was also excellent, with tons of moisture and just a wee bit of sauce to give it a smooth and mellow flavor. Although there are still more the menu I would like to try, the brisket and pulled pork are clearly winners in my house.

Well, our party of 4 showed up at 230. Only a few tables were seated. Not crowded by any means. We get our drinks. They explain they are behind, that they’ve been busy it would be a little bit. Ok that’s fine. We understand. But when our food dwindled in….. First thing that comes out is kids nachos, which is piled high with jalapenos. Which was wasn’t explained. On the menu or in person. Second thing we get is a brisket sandwich that is so greasy you couldn’t even pick it up. So needless to say we cancelled the order. We waited over an hour. So disappointed. Mind you during this time they kept coming back to let us know how many to go orders they had and that ours would be a while longer but it would be worth it. So not!

Unfortunately, they are always out of food! Always, every single time. Have tried the fried noodles before and it was amazing. Then went up there to get the noodles again because it’s the only thing I’ve had and got home and there was no meat on it. When called they said they had run out of meat bit gave me my order with no meat. The 2 stars is for the first time I got the fried noodles. Been here 4x and always out of food. Can’t say I haven’t tried

We had my daughter’s graduation party here and the staff was absolutely incredible. Like they had everything set up for us, they accommodated us in every way, and the food was excellent. Y’all watch out though because proportions are absolutely MONSTROUS!!! They make sure you eat good up in there!!! We will definitely be back. Thank you guys for helping make my daughter’s special celebration amazing!!

Had the most amazing ribs, brisket and fried noodles with smoked sausage. Every bit of it melts in your mouth! The perfectly crisp edge around the outside of the brisket was my favorite!! Didn’t get a picture of the ribs as my date ate them before I could snap a picture. Can’t wait to try some of their desserts made from scratch. Superb service as well. They offer catering and also have a food truck!

There were several issues that took place. First was that it was like 5pm and they had already run out of of brisket, okay so I order the fried pork noodles… my husband got a pulled pork sandwich his came out significantly sooner then mine by like 15 minutes at least, my husband thought it had a weird flavor the whole time he ate it… just couldn’t put his finger on it- I had about four bites of my food before I gave up,it was terrible- it was a grease bomb from hell with no flavor. A table sat beside us who attempted to order brisket then pulled pork just to find out that they had run out of pulled pork today because “half of our pork went bad today so we had to throw it out”…I will not be going back here

I have eaten at many BBQ joints across this country, and I can tell when Meat is cooked in a oven versus a smoker, and this meat we had was 100% cooked in a oven. Extremely expensive for no more food than you get, the baked beans tasted like I was eating pancakes, it had that much maple syrup in them. One part of the restaurant was nice and cool, and the other section felt like they had the heat on when it was 100 degrees outside. The waiter tried to give our food to another table, my food came out first, then my daughter’s in 5 mins, then my wife’s food 5 mins later. The BBQ sauce tasted like it was 90% vinegar, I would recommend skipping this joint, wasn’t no where near worth the $60 we paid for the quality and amount of food we got.

This place was so delicious. We had a group of 8 people and all 8 of us cleaned our plates. We were in town visiting family and they hadn’t heard of it because the sign is very hard to see from the road. I’m so glad we found it though because the food was delicious and the service was very friendly. The chef even brought us a sample of his brisket. My son dreamed about that brisket the rest of our vacation and we planned to go back but ran out of time.
