The food was well prepared and delicious. The mole for the chicken enchiladas had a sweet cinnamon note and was well balanced in flavor. The steak was tender and properly marinated. The corn tortillas had a great spongy texture and were a great accompaniment for fajitas. The guacamole was a little heavy on the acid/too much lime, but it balanced out the steak pretty well. The salsa with the cactus was definitely refreshing, though there didn’t seem to be as much cactus as bell pepper or jalapeño.
We had lunch here when another restaurant had a long wait. Usually I am skeptical of such things, but I think it worked out well for us! We enjoyed the menu — enough variety without an overwhelming menu. The service was friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was great! I highly recommend the tacos al pastor. The mole enchiladas were great too!
Great night out! We enjoyed a handful of various cocktails and tacos. We all loved what we ordered. The guacamole was super delicious. Our server was super nice and down to earth.
Cantina Is A Must! This is the best Mexican restaurant we have been to yet. The food was all Delicious, the Drinks were on point (Margaritas made with fresh fruit)And the service was top notch. Our Hostess was Martina, She was Sweet, Knowledgeable and Very attentive. We will be returning soon.
I waited the hour and a half drive home to write this review. All the staff here were awesome. Autumn took care of us and made sure we were happy. The food came out in a timely manner and it was absolutely delicious. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly to temperature. My buddy got the carnitas and the meat was practically falling apart. Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while. Can’t wait to come back.
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Raleigh!! I cannot stress how much I love going to this place! The food, the atmosphere, the service, the sangria, everything is 5 stars! My sister lives in New York in the heart of Manhattan and goes to many restaurants and she’s in love with Driftwood Cantina too. This is where we go to enjoy our sister time when she visits. I’m very picky about restaurants so when I give 5 stars it means something.
We went on Friday for my wife’s birthday, they just upgraded to a new menu. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! However the wait times could’ve been better, took awhile for our food to come, the service was amazing, we had katelyn she was attentive and sweet. Some of the best food in Raleigh..
I’ve had the pleasure of dining here maybe 5-6 times now. It has become my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Raleigh. Hands down. Not only is the food the best Mexican I’ve had since moving to the area years ago, the service is always top notch as well. Which is hard to pull off nowadays.Pork belly tacos FTW! Amazing.
The ability to remove meat and add vegetarian options is amazing. Very good Mexican food, friendly service, and beyond/impossible options makes this place a favorite in my list.Thank you for making this place accessible to different dietary needs.
Went for a wine night in Lafayette Village and stopped at Driftwood Cantina. They offered a few different types of wine and let you taste everything which was nice. We stayed and had a couple of margaritas and apps. The margaritas were great and apps were ok nothing spectacular. I would go back to try more.
