Went with a large group, had reservation. We didn’t get seated together, ordering was a mess, food was forgotten. 2 people had the spaghetti and didn’t eat it. The dining was not a great experience for the elite party.
The spirit tasting was good and a. Ice variety.

Coming out of COVID and in a rural area of Indiana, Drift Coastal has done a fabulous job! The food is wonderful, our server (Nicole) was so sweet and helpful explaining the two businesses in one – the restaurant and the French Lick Winery. And the prices for the quality of food were amazing! A refreshing change from the prices at the two resorts across the street. We ate here twice in 5 days…yes, it is that good!

New restaurant in the winery is a perfect fit. Traditional Italian and Mediterranean offerings paired with crafted booze and vino. We had apps and craft drinks. The mussels and scampi were great. The scampi was a little lemon dominant but that was a nice twist on this old school fav. I have been all over the east coast sampling mussels and these are by far my favorite. Jaron our server was skilled and attentive. 5 /stars. .

Service was good. Music was good. Wine is good. I wanted Lobster Ravioli that I have ordered there for years. They were out of it. I got the Shrimp Alfredo. The bread was good. The shrimp was hot and it tasted good. BUT, the alfredo was barely warm that quickly went to totally cold. The former owners sent all the pasta out on very hot plates and the food was always very hot. This just did not add up. I have eater there many times.

My husband and I came here for supper and was very disappointed. The menu was very small and , the prices were really inflated. I ordered the spaghetti and my husband ordered the lobster ravioli. As much as I hate to say this, it was the worse spaghetti that I have ever had. My husband couldn’t even eat his ravioli they were cold and there was barely any lobster. Our bill was $52 which was entirely too high especially for the standard of food that we was served. The wine slushy were very tasty and the wait was nice and welcoming but the food was just horrid. The prices are too high especially with the venue. The winery has more of a rustic look, more of a cafe style feel but charging what a 5 star rated Restaurant would charge. Very disappointed. We will come back for the slushees but we will eat prior!!!

Highly recommended, but surrounding area is parking lots… not nature as shown in one of their photos. Pizza topping was good but crust was so-so. Shrimp Alfredo was okay. Cannoli was so hard, almost needed a steak knife to cut it
Flavor was good but small for an $8 price.
Those looking for a winery drinking experience will enjoy this but food is an afterthought.

Service was bad. Waitress came and asked if we were ready to order when 3 party members were not at the table. She knew there were 3 more because she had already brought us drinks.
My wife went to order the garlic bread appetizer and the waitress suggested another bread item that came with oil instead. It was disappointing, but I assume she suggested it because it was more expensive.
When the food came, instead of handing the food to the people it belonged to, she handed it all to me instead for me to hand out.
My wife and I shared a shrimp pasta dish. It wasn’t hot and wasn’t very flavorful at all. 2 of my children ordered dishes that came with chicken. Both were over cooked, dry, and un-seasoned. My youngest had their cheeseburger. It was also dry and kinda burnt.
Very bad experience overall. Sub-par food and very expensive. I won’t be back for the food.
However, the French lick wine was wonderful

I took my wife here for a date night and I was thrilled with the experience. We have always enjoyed eating at the restaurant in the French Lick winery and were sad to hear of the former occupants’ decision to close due to issues caused by the pandemic. However, Drift Coastal has stepped in to fill the void in a big way. The atmosphere is now more upscale and the waitstaff is very professional. The menu contains many of the old favorites and the food is delicious.

Came as a walk in group of 12. We were informed of a 20%gratuity for a party of 12. No problem. The issues began when we were told we were not going to be seated together. That broke our party up. We were now three groups of four. We ordered as couples to make our tickets easier. I ordered after the other couple at our table. Ordered an appetizer and then our food. Waitress took the orders of all three tables at the same time. There were parties with reservations that came in and we were told that our food orders were pushed back since they had reservations. The other two tables had their food and were done eating before we ever received ours. Our appetizer was brought out with our food, when asked why it took so long we were informed we ordered it in the wrong order so they put it in as part of our food. My husbands lasagna came out cold and when sent back a new piece was brought out cold a second time. It was inexcusable. Water was accidentally spilled and when it happened the person pouring it said well I guess drinks on me, it was all over. When we finally got our tickets we were all still charged 20% gratuity on each ticket. It was ridiculous! Needless to say we will not return.
