I decided to post about this small business, because I am a small business owner. I understand the doubt and the fear that can consume you if you don’t have faith. And when you have faith and you trust God, you do all things unto God. And that even means serving ice cream, or making the best homemade cookie dough in he country. The owner of this business has always shown up to support her community and she tirelessly supports her family. She had a dream and followed it. She faithfully serves and doesn’t give up even though there are plenty of reasons to. I hope many others show up to support Downtown Dough dough, not only for the best service and best treats, but because we should always be cheering for the small business owners who answer mostly to Mom and Dad. What a great place!! You really need to try it out. I loved the chocolate chip. I got a slice of chocolate chip cookie dough and 2 scoops of ice cream the first day. I liked it so much, we came back the next day and I got a whole loaf of chocolate chip! Plus, some various flavors for our kids back home. Liked it enough to get two T shirts! Downtown dough also has keto cookie dough if you are into that. The owner is so nice, she opened the store early for us to get stuff on our way out of town. She said she would send me some dough during my deployment. Gave a military discount, and was just a really nice person.

The ice cream and italian ice were amazing, and the peanut butter cookie dough was a pleasant bite. Also, the customer service was exceptional. Will definitely visit again when I come through Chattanooga on future trips.

Delicious I’ve cream and cookie dough. The vegan/ dairy free ice cream was oat milk based and so flavorful. I loved it!! The owner is super personable and we had a fun conversation.

The most delicious cookie dough with the KINDEST owner and service. I LOVE that it’s woman owned! Such an amazing little spot in the best location. View of the water, plenty of places to park, great options and hand made, in-house craft cookie dough! Such an awesome find! Gluten free, vegan keto options!

Today while on vacation we stopped by Downtown Dough after touring the Tennessee Aquarium. My son is a Type 1 Diabetic and we always search for keto desserts when we go out of town. He got the coconut, almond, chocolate chip ice cream and then 2 keto cookie dough bars to eat later. My husband and I both got some ice cream and it was all delicious! The ice cream did not run his sugar up and it was a great treat. The store owner was super nice and very helpful in choosing some ice cream that was lower in carbs. There are lots of delicious options if you want sugary confections as well! I highly recommend stopping by for a treat if you are in Chattanooga!
