This was my first time at this restaurant. I found it doing a Google search of local places. Everything we had was awesome. Appetizers were cheese sticks, steak quesadilla, and fried green tomatoes. The green tomatoes were exceptionally tasty.

Place needs better organization and service. Walk in wait to be seated only two tables occupied at this time so not busy yet no one there to greet you as you walk in or there to seat you. Get seated give drink orders look over menu as first time here. Once ordered food which was an order of wings with a side salad (wanted salad as appetizer) because you don’t eat cold food with hot food just doesn’t sit right when one is with a fork and the other hand held ,you would be leaving your wings cold while you ate the salad or leaving the salad to wilt while you eat the wings. And a chicken tender basket with cheese fries. While waiting on food the server is gossiping and eating so had to ask another server to replace drink as the sweet tea was not good at all, tasted like a one bag no sugar brew. After a bit ask the original server how long would the salad be as another table had already received their “cooked” appetizer and they had ordered after us by a good ten mins. She comes back with all of the food defeating the purpose of the salad appetizer. Needed more sauce but our server not only had time to chat with fellow employees but eat her own lunch and step outside for a break, I get breaks but when not busy like that service should take priority and I shouldn’t be able to watch you eat while waiting on my own food. The table we were sat at was super sticky and killed the vibe. Would train employees better. Star goes to the cook only. Salad portion was great value, fry portion was short for the value, tenders were overcooked and lacked seasoning, the wings were slightly on the smaller side but taste was good. The attitude of the staff was not welcoming facial expressions show more than their words did. And not just our server another table had to get their own napkins because at one time the entire staff was missing from view. I feel for the 25 top planning to come by later because if they can’t handle 2 two tops that party is going to be disappointed. Did I mention we could hear the complaints of the server to attend said party. Would not recommend.

Just passing through the town my husband and I stopped in and it was absolutely amazing. Southwest egg rolls, fried bologna sandwich and the Hawaiian burger….. everything was so good! Will definitely be back in our next road trip!

Downtown chief is always dependable. My food was a tad overly salted, but in all honesty this is the first time I have ever had any complaint about anything with this restaurant. I had my six year old son with me and all he wanted was an orange. He spotted them on the counter and decided that’s what he wanted for lunch. I offered to pay for the orange but she ended up just giving it to him. He was definitely a happy camper. Can’t wait to go back!

My first time at the downtown restaurant, I have eaten at the Glencoe location several time. I really like the downtown location. I liked having a place to sit. Same great food. We had an awesome server. I will definitely be going again. I had the pimento cheese burger. Loved it.

We entered were seated and ordered promptly. Food fried dill pickles were soaked in grease, we put two napkins under then and the napkins were soaked. Pickles were not poperly drained. We had to ask for drink refill. Half way done with meal and we had to ask for ketchup, there was none on our table. All bread was soaked in oil and toasted which was good, but way too much oil. We had to use our great-grandchildren diaper wipes for our hands. Must have used at least a dozen. Waitresses are working the entire floor which is huge! Totally, not fair to the customers or servers!!! (Yes, I have been a waitress before and my parents owned a resturant.) We asked for a to go box, to carry out our remaining food. There was a sugar ant in the container. We asked for a sack to carry out the containers, which was never brought.The girl that had been asked for the sack looked right at us and walked to the drink counter at the other end of the restaurant. So, when we left I thanked the girl for the sack to which she replied you’re welcome. Sack was never delivered! We were visiting and came to eat here based on reviews. Please note for $58.00 and a $12.00 tip… it wasn’t worth the time, treatment, or money. Just our opinion. Our waitress was kind, but not about to service us for having tables all over the restaurant. They need stations and soda drink counters open at both ends! We give a score of a two!!! Very dissatisfied!!!
