Amazing BBQ sandwiches, get the Big Texas for a nice sweet heat with plenty of meat spilling out of the buns. Also blown away by the smoked turkey, usually turkey from BBQ places are not a show stopper but this place kept it moist and flavorful. The guys from the truck are awesome and friendly definitely a must try as far as Austin BBQ. The posted Picture is of the Mac & Queso Sandwich, since the Big Texas got eaten before I could take a picture.

After reading reviews I had to try last week and I was not disappointed. We got a half pound each of baby back ribs, chopped bbq, and brisket plus 2 containers of the collards. All the meat was great though the brisket was a tiny bit saltier than I like on the yummy charred pieces but I’ve cut way back on my salt since a TIA in Jan. My husband thought it was excellent. But now listen to this 79yr old: get some collards!!! Yes, they cost $4 for a small container but they are organic and out of this world perfection. You know someone from the south cooked these babies: meat flavor and just the right bit of kick. I’d buy by the quart if I could!

Had lunch today at DST BBQ. Enjoyed the potato salad especially(since I am not a potato salad guy). Ribs were some of the best I have had after sampling over 50 Central Tx BBQ’s. Brisket was tender and had delicious bark as did the ribs. Also tasted collard greens, beans and corn. All were worth going back for on another visit. Rico, I will be seeing you again.

Very friendly service. They played nice music, had tables to sit down. My order was ready quicklyand he brought it to my car. . The food is amazing. He was being so modest when talking about their food. I had the Brisket, smoked Mac and Cheese, Collard greens. Yum

Listen I loved the flavor of the ribs and the greens were hitting. The Mac and cheese was ok but the amount of food and taste made this a 5 star rating. I can’t wait til I’m back in the area to get more.

After searching for some good barbecue I found Down South Texas BBQ online. I decided to give them a try today, and I must say I was impressed. Great service and the ribs were so tender and flavorful!!! The sides were amazing too! I will definitely be back!!

The hours of operation are in accurate. They don’t have a phone number to call to double check that they’re open when you search for them during our celebration on the delivery apps it always shows that they’re closed. I really miss this place but inconsistency unfortunately it’s me to leave this review, they could possibly be printed permanently closed

Been wanting to try and had menu on fridge. THE HOT DAWG was delicious, spicy hot link with brisket brisket queso yummmy! The mac and queso sandwich was good too. BRISKET WAS SO WELL COOKED JUICY AND SOFT.. I WILL GO BACK TO TRY EVERYTHING ELSE!!
