But if you’re on a diet or even slightly health-conscious, please be cautious.
The food tastes great, no doubt, but the amount of oil is extremely high. I ordered the Green Chilli Pulao and was shocked to see how oily it was. You can literally squeeze a small handful of rice and watch the oil drip out.
I’ve added pictures showing the oil from just 1/3rd of the portion, so you can judge for yourself.
Great flavor, great service — but they really need to reduce the oil levels.
The Mysuru bonda was also very bad, it seemed undercooked, with the inside still raw and doughy.
I dont understand why they cant maintain consistency. Their quantities are GOOD, chutney are great. If they stuck to their original recipes and quality, this place could be one of the best to eat.
We kicked off the evening with appetizers: the Punugulu were piping hot, perfectly crispy, and paired wonderfully with their delicious tomato and peanut chutneys. Next up, the Stuffed Mirchi Bajji — the stuffing of onions and peanuts added an extra layer of flavor and a spicy kick that we absolutely loved! The Chicken 65 was another highlight — juicy, flavorful, and fried to perfection with just the right amount of spice. A cup of hot chai brought everything together beautifully.
For the main course, we tried the Chicken Hakka Noodles — absolutely bursting with flavor and seasoned with the perfect level of spice! The kids couldn’t get enough.
To top it all off, we had their famous Green Pulav Chicken. The pulav was rich with flavor, the sauce was out of this world, and everything was served hot and fresh — it truly felt like home-cooked comfort food.
It’s no wonder Dosthi Bandi has become a hit so quickly!
If you’re craving authentic Indian and street food, Dosthi Bandi is a must-visit. Highly recommend for a cozy dine-in experience. We’ll definitely be back!
I tried punugulu and mirchi bajji in the snacks section, both of which were tasty and reminds you the classic Indian flavors and nostalgia of enjoying your evenings with your friends at street food stalls. Fried rice, noodles and pulav were also good, with both quality and quantity meeting expectations.
The staff has a welcoming attitude and treats customers well, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, if you’re looking for a casual spot with a good selection of Indian street food, Dosthi Bandi is worth a visit!
My must-eats: Stuffed Mirchi, Punugulu, Green Chilli Pulaos, and Schezwan Fried Rice.
