Excellent vietnamese food. I have had two bun bowls one grilled pork an the other lemongrass beef and both were so flavorful they will nock your socks off! The ratio of meat to veg to noodles are on point. My husband has had 2 of their soups . He is a big fan of vietnamese soups and both were excellent. Its become a Sunday habit. Worth the 30 minute drive. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The decor is appreciated, clean and uncluttered. Highly recommend a stop in.

Literally my favorite place to eat in New Orleans. Out it in the east but its worth the trip. Been to Vietnam several times and this Pho is as authentic as you are going to get around here. Far and away the BEST! Oh and the avocado smoothie is awesome too!

Great vietnamese spot, fast service, great portions, and good pricing. Really large bowls of pho that tasted excellent with all the veggies needed for it. Really great drink selections, coffee was good, smoothies were excellent, and got a limeade that was incredible.

I finally went and bought a king cake from Dong Phoung!! I heard how great they were and I finally dropped by. Awesome set up they have to sell king cakes!! Props to them with packaging too!! Each king cake comes in a large zip lock bag!!! Genious!!!
The king cake isn’t made in a typical oval shape. It is a whole rectangle shape covered with a mardi gras colored frosting!!! I’m old school and I got the traditional cinnamon flavor.
The taste of the king cake was good …but it isn’t the best that I have ever had. I like my king cakes to taste similiar to coffee cake. My favorite king cake comes from Haydel’s. It has been my favorite since my grammer school day in the 1970’s!!
I still ate the whole thing …in about 7 days!!!
I would still buy from Dong Phoung if I don’t want drive to Haydel’s for the king cake!!

Pho broth leans towards on the sweeter side, but the grilled pork is probably the best I had. They aren’t stingy with the portions, the price is reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Everytime I’m in the area I love to stop by and eat here. I love their vermicelli noodle dishes (specifically with grilled pork or korean ribs) and bun bo hue the most. Afterwards you can stop by their bakery for the best vietnamese bread and other goods.

The BEST pho place ever. We go there weekly and their pho has been consistent every time. Love their milk teas & smoothies too! I recommend the Taro or Matcha Green Tea flavor with tapioca added.
Edit: Know that they’re closed on Tuesdays*

One of my must stop ats when I come down to the city. The only issue is who closes a restaurant during the week and not open for dinner time? The first time we drove out there was on Thursday and Yelp said they were open until 5. But when we actually got there, the bakery was open but not the restaurant. We only wanted to eat at the restaurant. Prices are reasonable especially considering the portion size. I can NEVER finish the whole bowl of bbh ( bun bo que) they give you so many different cuts of meat and it’s piled in. The broth is flavored so well you really dont need to add anything else in unless you like it spicier. The bbh here is my favorite in all the places that I have visited in various cities in the United States so I haven’t even bothered to try any other dishes. But that should tell you something if I keep coming back for more every time I come to town.
