This is a family owned restaurant located inside the plaza on Decatur and Loan mountain. If you are expecting fancy, this is not it. I was on the fence at first because of its location but decided to give them a try anyway.

Upon entry I noticed a distinct smell and couldn’t figure out what it was. It wasn’t overbearing but it wasn’t pleasant. The place was small and decor is cute and simple with a home-like feel.

We arrived at 6pm no reservations and were the only there so we were immediately seated. Our server was Kara (or close I’m sorry if I got it wrong) who was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, was patient explaining the menu, and continued to check on us. We ordered, the garlic bread with cheese, Caesar salad, meatball, chicken parmesan with penne vodka, and the chicken chature I believe that’s what it’s called. Side note; they offer happy hour prices from 4-6.

The complimentary garlic bread was delicious with fresh chopped garlic. The Caesar salad was simple and was also very good. They used the nice green chopped Romaine leaves with real Parmesan. We did find a piece of plastic on the salad unfortunately and didn’t mention it, as this didn’t stop me from eating it and we all make mistakes lol The meat ball was tender and the tomato sauce tasted fresh and not overly sweet like most places. The coating on the chicken was perfect and was cooked to perfection. Overall, both chicken dishes were made fresh with quality ingredients, plated very nicely and were really good. The portions are also huge so the price point is reasonable. We both took half our meals home. However, both dishes could have used a bit more seasoning. My chicken parmesan could have used a little salt, garlic, and Italian spices and my boyfriend said the same. Still good but just providing my feedback and based on reviews a lot of feel the same. For all of it, we paid about $45 and I added a $15 tip because she deserves more than the average 20%.

My overall experience was great, I will be coming back, and I will be recommending this place. I would just suggest adding a bit more seasoning, looking into the weird smell going entry, and advice that the cook wear gloves at all times. He was wearing gloves when we came in but I then witnessed him using his bare hand to separate the linguini noodles.

We went for dinner on a Friday night and it was easy to get into. There were like three tables taken up. The waitress was wonderful. The owner was also there working and talking to guests. Great hidden spot for Italian food in the neighborhood. The fried mozzarella was yummy. Perfect breading ratio and ooey gooey. The garlic bread was good. The Alfredo was AMAZING. We wouldn’t get the chicken riggies again but it wasn’t bad. My husband liked the meat lasagna. The tiramisu was delicious. Portion sizes are good all around. Prices are fair. We will certainly be back! I would eat the Alfredo pasta every day.

Was hoping this neighborhood restaurant would be a nice little gem. Room is small and quaint with hard wooden chairs to sit on. Seems as a Mom and Pop place wanting to give a traditional meal. Unfortunately, it did not hit the mark.

Everything seemed commercially bought and premade. Garlic bread was not worth consuming. Salad probably came from a bag with 2 olives and 1 carrot. Calamari we wouldn’t finish, half the bread coating was off on each ring and tasted frozen. Marinara for calamari had large cut onion pepper, maybe a fleck or 2 of peppercorns and possibly Tabasco and has an off chemical flavor. Chicken Riggies was almost interesting, never had baked ziti swimming in jarred tomato sauce, with possible Tabasco again. Could have been a good dish if sauce was more homemade and authentic. Chicken Sinatra sounded good and paid extra to have served on Angel hair instead of side dish of penne marinara. Well it came as jarred marsala, no mustard, just a disappointment. Neither my wife or me finished our meal.

I’m sure they have good intentions but the need to raise this establishment to the concept that they started with. The wife (assumed) – server – hostess- do everything concerned me when she yelled out who knows how to take a screen shot on her phone, her sister sent her a recipe she wanted to use. I’m just not accustomed to this manner of business. I hope they pull this together but I won’t be back.

I am so pissed because I had my family starving all night as we had to head to Lone Mountain for a delivery. I spent so much money on food that tasted like it was just microwaved. The worst ala vodka sauce I have had in my life with so much pepper and they told me it was a $5.00 upcharge for that sauce like it was golden. The calamari tasted so generic and the sauce was like they had splashed a lil bit of Tabasco inside. It looked like we enjoyed the food only because we just wanted to swallow it and call it a night because we were hungry. We still went out for crepes because we were so disappointed and wanted to kill the vibes after leaving. Sadly we will not be back. Seemed like a family owned business so I guess it was good to support. ‍♀️ it’s sad because you can really see that they really want to take care of you but the quality of the food is at a zero for us.

This is our second time here. The first visit I had the chicken riggies. It was just ok, but more spicy than flavor, and I love spicy food. My son had the same experience with the Steak El Greco. The italian dressing is amazing, but the field greens are too bitter for it. The second visit we had lasagna and fettuccine alfredo. We started with the Italian wedding soup. The soup and garlic bread are simply delicious! The lasagna tastes like an Italian grandma slaved in the kitchen all day making it wonderful. The fettuccine is also quite tasty.

I had the Fruitti Di Mare and the dinner salad with house balsamic vinaigrette. All were incredibly delicious. Quaint little local restaurants for great food.

A last minute choice worth the decision. The food was delicious with all the Italian feels to the meal. Call for a table and was quickly seated for 4. Once inside you feel the cook at work. A little short on help but the waitress doing her best to get to get customer.

This local neighborhood Italian restaurant is a great find. Their lasagna is served in a casserole so it can’t very warm and stayed warm until I finish eating it, WHICH IS GREAT! My husband had the veal piccata. BUT don’t forget to order the HOMEMADE TIRAMISU!! Real treat!! Yum!! Customer service a 5-Star. The owners came to say hi and checked how everything was.
