Some of the worse wings I’ve experienced! I asked for seasoned wings the wings only had season on top the rest of the wing had no flavor! The wings were soggy! I called the location the lady said “mam do you want to bring the order back it’s nothing I can do about it” no apology and didn’t offer to make the wings over I’ll never return

Two visits. Went second time for support black owned business day. Was disappointed in the turkey burger. Was expecting homemade thick, juicy burger. Also have had their seasoned wings. Will order next time wet. Willing give another try. Friendly workers. Decent prices.

It has gone downhill. They used to have excellent service and the wings were significantly better than they are now. Now, the new people they’ve hired act as your very existence inconveniences them… which is strange, given the fact that their paychecks rely on whether or not you patronize their business.

The location on Austin Peay is better than this one.
Also, a heads up: ranch (or blue cheese) no longer comes with your order. ALL ranch and blue cheese is now an extra charge. For this reason, I’d recommend skipping this place altogether. You can find better value at any of their competitors.

I genuinely hate writing negative reviews because I feel so passionate about supporting local black businesses, but after 15 years (practically my whole life) of being a customer, I have to call it quits. Before the holidays, my sister ordered wings for the family and the young girl who answered said she needed to pay over the phone for larger orders after 7pm due to people skipping out on paying. Cool. Inconvenient yet understandable. I went to place an order today, and an older woman tells me that I have to pay over the phone or order in-person—mind you I am trying to place this order just after 4:30pm on a Wednesday for dinner. Obviously, as a responsible consumer, this makes me uncomfortable. When I called back to ask when the policy had changed, she abruptly put me on hold to speak to another customer. I get that the economy sucks right now and small businesses need to protect themselves too, but the dismal customer service and communication in exchange for over 15 years of being a patron felt like a slap in the face. Don Don’s simply isn’t the same. Please take your business to restaurants that care about their customers.

Our wings were over cooked the 1st time. The were remade. The same fries were on the order. Some of The fries were half black and raw, meaning when I bit into it I tasted straight potato. The older woman at the register that took our order had a very nasty attitude. I found out about the raw fries later because I was so upset and focused on the wings. I didn’t check the fries until I got home, ready to eat. We will NOT be coming back to that location.

This place has absolutely went DOWNHILL!! On wednesday 4/30/2025 around 7:30 i went to dondon’s on bartlett blvd thinking i was going to get some freshly fried wings. Just to wait an hour and get home to HARD BLACK WINGS. The wings that i received weren’t fresh at all they tasted like they were fried earlier and dipped back in the fryer and tossed. I ordered a 15 piece honey hot and seasoned wings. I called the restaurant when i saw that my wings were hard and the “ granddaddy “ said that i could bring them back. I drove all the way to bartlett just for him to yell and tell me that nothings wrong with the wings. It was clear as day that they were OLD. He has a nasty attitude and i hope that he knows being old and mean isn’t a good look! even his granddaughters face looked like that she knew that he was wrong. I will never spend my money here! There is a difference between FRIED HARD and OLD CHICKEN. I was nice and understanding until he raised his voice. do business better next time you OLD HAG! ALSO HE told me that i wasn’t getting a refund which i never asked he said he could remake them i was fine with that until he got the attitude which made me not even want anything from this establishment EVER again.

Don-Don is *the* wing place. Their whole wings, their sauces, their seasoned fries, their rolls…all amazing. As a self-proclaimed mustard hater, their honey gold (mustard based) is the best tasting wing sauce I’ve ever had, and it’s the only sauce I will get from them. That should tell you how delicious they are!! If you want something that’s not wings, try the fried green tomatoes. Those are hard to get right but man they are to die for!

All of the employees are easy-going and nice, but Cliff is the best. He is so kind!

I also appreciate how they never get your order wrong, even though they get it prepared fast.

I always call ahead of time and the food is ready when I arrive. Best wing place in Bartlett. Honey hot is the best but every flavor I’ve tried has been good.

Wings had very little meat and some were blackened. Sauce was good and so were fries. Service wasn’t good. The grandfather was pretty nice but what I presume is his son was really rude. He acted as if he didnt wanna do business with me. I could tell he runs the cashier and the phone and he was getting a bunch of calls that he had to put on hold so after I placed my order I sat down assuming I’d pay when the wings were ready. He finished receiving the order on the phone and rudely called out to me asking if I was gonna pay. And of course I was it’s not like I placed my order and left. When I’d initially placed the order, I asked what type of sauce they had and he said all annoyed, “it’s up there” and pointed behind him. The sauces were listed in smaller print at the top and I hadn’t seen them like I’m sorry dude. I’d normally assume he had a bad day but there are a bunch of people saying he was rude to them on here.
3 steps to make the restaurant better:
• Fix your supply chain to get meatier wings
• Yell at whoever it is in kitchen that keeps burning people’s wings (cause other people are complaining about that too)
• Chill out and stop being rude to customers. If you can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen – if you don’t like your job, get a different job.

Chicken was served hot but the seasoning was limited. The prices are a bit high and they charge for sauces and refills. Friendly cashier though.
