This was the first time we ate here. I had the Cancun chimichanga, and it was very filling. It had a great taste and went great with the tortilla & queso cheese. Our waitress was very friendly, and she stood and talked with us when we told her we were from our of town. It was a nice little establishment and very clean.

This Mexican restaurant had been suggested to us by a close friend. I had ordered take out food from here before, but we decided to dine in for dinner. The building used to be an old McDonald’s and still had that flooring inside. My husband said the bathrooms looked like a McDonald’s. The food was pretty bland, just didn’t taste like it had much flavor. They give you a bean dip with your chips, but there is a salsa bar with lots of different kinds. While we were eating dinner I hear a zap. Right behind me is an electrical bug zapper light that you typically will see outside. The booth seat wasn’t connected to the booth so every time I moved it moved with me. It wasn’t the worst experience. The staff was really nice and prices were reasonable. A little more flavor, seats secured, and less zapping and I would have given it a higher score.

First time customer at this restaurant. I thought the food was good and the service was good also. The food was fresh and hot. The fajitas was cooked perfect and the food portions were good. It was a little pricey but Again the food was good. When I’m in the area I will be eating here again. I do recommend this restaurant.

We got the Chicken Flautas and the Spicy Zacatecas Fajitas. I love their rice and beans! The flautas are always on point. Good tastes nice and fresh. The only downfall was on the fajitas the steak was a little burnt and was only given four pieces of shrimp.

I’ve enjoyed dining at Domingos since it opened. The food is amazing. Staff is nice. Price is extremely reasonable for the quantity. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I always order the grilled chicken burrito ranchero with extra sauce. Hubby gets grilled chicken chimichanga. Our entrees always come with rice and beans. One entree could easily feed two adults with healthy appetites. I always take more than half to-go, but my husband can eat a whole chimichanga (without the side of rice & beans) by himself. We also order a small side of guacamole. When they used to make the horchata from scratch, we always enjoyed that as a drink. The bean dip and tortilla chips you get while your food is cooking are great, free, and unlimited, but I recommend saving room for the huge entree. This is probably the best restaurant in Mocksville if you are looking for authentic, fresh, and tasty Mexican cuisine.

Sept 2020 – Still eating here a few years later. Now we often order grilled chicken taco salad with guac. This is filling for two parents and two toddlers. Can’t beat price, quantity, fresh and healthy ingredients, and above all: taste.

The staff are friendly. Food is ok but padded down lots of rice. I ordered carne asada which includes pico de gallo but only about two tablespoons worth. The steak was ok and not overly seasoned. The burritos are supposed to be good I’ll try those if I go back.

There are so very many options on the menu which always makes me nervous. Plus, my menu was falling apart at the edges; the lamentation was peeling from the paper. The colors are washed out, and all of the pages are a vaguely depressing gray. It’s not a great first impression before I get any food. And nothing about the menu is innovative or surprising; there are tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitas. The one surprise is the fact that they serve seafood this far inland. And I couldn’t tell you what’s really authentic about any of it. But take that critique with a grain of salt; I’m not Mexican. What I can say is that the portion sizes are huge. I got the adovada burrito, and the flavors are sincerely great. The meat, though well seasoned, was perhaps a bit tough and inconsistently crunchy at times. Like certain pieces we’re left in the pan a little too long. I just hope it tastes as good tomorrow for lunch because I cannot finish it. Finally I had the flan. No toppings. It looked a little off; the flavor was drowning in vanilla, and the texture was kind of mushy, not a smooth custard.

This place was amazing, and they do not gimp on portion sizes! We got the Domingo’s Fajitas, and I’m telling you what, they did not short us on the meat! It was piled high, and delicious! Clean environment, friendly and pleasant service! We would definitely recommend this place!
