Had a great experience last night for dinner and drinks. The bar was crowded but we did not wait for drinks, bartender was very friendly and made a great drink. We only had to wait a short time for our table, we sat at a high top in the bar. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We had a party of five people that love to eat and talk about our food. The food was amazing from presentation to taste. Best raw platter I ever had, great selection of oysters. Blacked tuna for entree and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Love the vibe and feel of this place, however, poor service. I had visited this place with my friends and were told to seat anywhere we’d like. We ended up waiting at least 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence, still no service. Decided to switch to the bar. Bartender barely too acknowledged us and ended up missing happy hour services solely for oysters. I tipped good but not my friends. Calamari tasted like soap. We were planning to have a great time here but that went out the window. Hopefully next time we visit my mind will change… Had high hopes.

We got the fried seafood combination which was excellent. I thought the lights were too bright in the bar area, and the service was horrible they served us our food, twice… we had to ask for silverware and condiments. It might be a good idea to set the patrons up at the bar with the utensils that they need before bringing the food. Overall I would definitely go back and try it again.

Very nice place! My husband, my little one and I loved it! The service was excellent!!! And the food was amazing!!! We had the best fresh oysters ever, a delicious steam pot and a wood grill combo perfection! Prices are competitive and not that different than other restaurants. My daughter’s pasta were good as well and she enjoyed cracking & eating snow crab legs with us… a very nice experience and we’ll definitely return

Arrived at about 8PM on Saturday night if Labor Day weekend. Seated right away. Service was great, so was the food. A little loud (live music), but still a great experience.

Make a reservation for 7pm for nine people the evening before. mcGrogins calls the afternoon of the reservation to ensure that we are still planning for 7pm of which we confirm. We get there and wait 25 minutes to get seated. We make our orders around 7:40 and don’t receive mains until 8:40. My “medium rare” steak has been destroyed to, generously, medium well due to sitting under a heat lamp. The other eight diners had a mixture of food experiences from good to barely Ok. The lobster bisque received great reviews.

Had the surf and turf with lobster bisque soup. Soup was good, but the surf and turf was lousy. Lobsted was super salty, steak was cooked right, but had no flavor. Garlic mashed potatoes were very bland and cold, string beans were shriveled up. Server was nice, but never came back to see how food was after it was served. I probably would have returned dish had she asked how it was at the beginning of the meal. Made no effort to correct anything at the end of the meal when she finally asked how everything was. Husband had the red snapper special and said it was good. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. What a shame, the place is very nice looking, but food is thumbs down.

Serve staff and interior décor are best. We each got different types of mixed drinks and they were mostly ice. The lobster roll was fresh, but pretty bland. Two of us had a yellow coconut rice, and it was hard and crunchy for both of us. But again, our waitress was aces, and overall it was very tasty. If we’d gotten beers and their Steamer Pots, I’m sure it would’ve been a different story altogether. Also, oysters are delicious, but you’re gonna pay for it.

I have been there several times. The ambiance is great and I really wanted to love it, which is why we kept going back. But the food is only ok. Some apps are good but dinners have always been average to disappointing. The fish tacos with the catch of day (yesterday was monkfish) was not good at all and couldn’t eat. Most dinners and drinks are overpriced for what you get. Really bummed b/c SIC needs more nice looking places like this.

Well so many people told me to go to Doc’s, I literally just left and got home and I am so very unsatiafied. I can forgive end of season and not allot on the menu, I can forgive allot of things actually and the only reason I didn’t say a word when I was there is my kids asked me not to. The biggest issue and I have pictures to prove it, there were a ton of bugs on the wall, which again I should have just left but I sucked it up and stayed for my kids. I ordered the rib eye and asked for medium and got what was literally so over cooked piece of meat it was actually burned. I ate a little and my daughters boyfriend tried to eat the rest of it and he couldn’t it was so bad. I spent $186 with tip for the worst meal of my life. We were originally going somewhere else but friends told us to go here. I should have kept on driving and gone anywhere but Doc’s. I will make it a point to let everyone I know down at the shore know how terrible the food was. Only good things was the server, she did a nice job. Unbelievable how bad the food was, I should have just left and not spent my money on the horrible food.
