Showed up for lunch on a Friday after noon for a first time visit with my wife. The restaurant is small and has outdoor seating so seating wasn’t an issue but during busy times that might be a bit of a concern.

For our first time we splurged so we could try a bit of everything. Two hot dogs each plus chili cheese fries and a Fitz soda each. They have a huge selection of Fitz bottles which I really enjoyed because their are flavors you just don’t find outside their own restaurants.

Enough about soda though, lets talk food. The chili cheese fries use homemade chili and that is really good. The fries normally come with a nacho cheese sauce but they let us switch for shredded cheese instead. I would eat the chili on its own.

For the dogs they serve flights of four. That is a great idea and perhaps my only gripe is the lack of flexibility. There are four flights each with six-eight options at different price points. You can only order from a single flights options instead of being able to pick from across the options and just pay the cost for the most expensive flight represented. That would have been ideal for us but instead we had to go a la cart.

With that being the case we got small versions of the Island, the Sugar Rush, the Fire in the Hole, and the Disapproval. The sweet dogs (Island/Sugar Rush) are wrapped in bacon which was really crispy the way we like it. The Fire in the Hole was supposed to be spicy and I found it disappointingly not. That said I have a high tolerance for spicy so YMMV. The Disapproval is a hot dog with sauerkraut and delivered exactly that experience.

Over all we enjoyed the experience. In the future we will likely just do a single large dog each because eating the way we did was a bit pricey but that was a choice on our part. If there is any downside the small hot dogs are… a bit skinny for their price. Especially on thr too end of the menu like the Fire in the Hole. Also while there are some really novel pairings we had not considered on a hotdog (brown sugar and maple syrup?!) several of those options are very doable at home so when we go back it will be for stuff like the chili dogs which offer the unique toppings.

A good experience, good service, and an option when we are hungry and in the area.

Best Hot Dog I’ve ever had at Dirty Dogz. The food was awesome. They must have 150 different beers available, with really good ones on tap. It was nice to just sit at the bar and enjoy watching a game while eating a tasty hot dog and drinking a good beer. The hot dogs awesome, there are so many menu options and combinations. I ordered the “Dirty Dog”, so good!!! I also had the chili cheese fries, they were outstanding. We were glad to see a bunch of vegetarian options including an impossible hot dog you can add a lot of different toppings. We chatted a bunch with the friendly owner, who was there on a Sunday. Overall, great food and beer and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this place.

Very diverse selection on hot dogs on this menu. Not just Chicago style or local. We’re talking bacon wrapped, peanut butter, sugar, chili, deep fried, you name it! Conveniently located, but I’m not sure why you’d be worried about what else is here, when you have so much to explore at Dirty Dogz!! Service is super friendly as well! See ya there.

What a neat little hideaway treasure. As soon as we walked in the owner/bartender/ waiter grated us. He explained the menu and even suggested a few entrees. I got “The Boss” and my friend constructed her own. The place was very very clean. The food came out hot, fresh and the buns were homemade right there in the kitchen. A must stop restaurant and can easily be a regular place to visit.

Took my family here tonight and was more than happy. The owner was very welcoming. He hung my daughters picture she colored on the wall. That made her day. The hotdogs was very good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Awesome little place with a delightful owner! Very interesting and different menu items. The veggie hot dog was terrific and I was very skeptical of peanut butter on a hot dog but I had to try it. It was awesome! Our fries were fresh and yummy too. My only critique is that the space is a bit cramped. Our larger group barely fit, but we did! We’ll be back for more delicious dogs!

This place is great! Huge selection of signature dogs (plus a la carte option) made to order, wonderful soft buns. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. I was expecting more of a fast food place but there is table service and a bar and it’s very comfortable. My son loved it as well and was blown away by the huge selection of Fitz’s sodas! Fries were really good too. Will return!

I’m really sad I couldn’t try the chili dog due to my food allergy but my husband said it was amazing! Instead, I had the Disapproval (beef dog with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing). I’m not sure why it’s called Disapproval, because it 10/10 has my approval as a Damn Good Hot Dog!

The buns are super light and fresh, cut and steamed right before serving so they are unbelievably soft.

I also had a side of potato salad; I love trying house-made potato salad at restaurants. I feel like it gives a sense of how much attention the chef puts into something simple. It went perfectly with the hot dog, was not too overpowering with the onion or relish, and had a nice tang from the mustard. I would heartily approve of this potato salad at any family gathering, potluck, or holiday meal.

I’ll definitely be coming back with my family, or ordering takeout if it’s a busy night! Thank you for making my lunch today!

WOW! It really is all about the Hot Dog!

What a nice hidden (in plain sight) gem of a restaurant!

This place has great tasty dogs (a very large selection of them) served by a very friendly staff at reasonable prices!

When you add in ability to get a cold beer, you have to ask yourself how often can I stop here!

This is a great place to get quality hot dogs with generous toppings! If you’re craving one, I highly recommend Dirty Dogz. Service was very amicable and their hot dogs are very snappy with a wonderful texture. Not mushy whatsoever. Everything is made to order so it is very fresh.
