I had never been here before today. While driving through the area and absolutely starving, I decided to try it out. SO glad I stopped in. The gentleman behind the counter was so very nice, and I immediately felt like he was an old friend. Grabbing my order to go, I snagged an American Cheeseburger, a cup of Cream of Chicken Wild Rice soup, and a bottled water. Burger was made to order in about 5 minutes. He set me up with extra napkins and everything I needed for my drive home. If you’re expecting to hear about a greasy burger….you won’t hear it from me. The burger had fresh cut tomato, onion, lettuce and their special sauce. Patty was thin and cooked proper without any grease making it feel like a true homemade meal. I was also blown away at how well it presented. If I’m ever in the area again, I for sure will be stopping in. Thank you for a great experience and delicious meal!!!

While in the mood for a burger, I visited Bust Outs. I ordered the Brown Line and a side of fries. The burger was juicy, in fact, so juicy and greasy that it slide right out of the bun. It was good! The side of fries were also good. On top of that, I only waited 5 or so minutes for my food.

We recently visited Bust Outs and had an excellent meal. What stood out most was how kid-friendly the restaurant is and how simple and stress-free the overall experience felt. The owners, Angelo and Christina, are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they—along with their staff—go above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere for families. It’s an ideal spot for casual dining with kids.
The service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and prompt, which always makes dining as a family more enjoyable. The menu features elevated burgers and chicken sandwiches named after CTA lines, along with local classics like Chicago-style Vienna Beef hot dogs, Italian beef, Merkt’s cheddar fries, fried pickles, and plenty of other options. Our kids devoured the mini Vienna Beef hot dogs and waffle fries. I usually go for one of the burgers, while my wife typically chooses one of their salads. Honestly, everything on the menu is great.
I highly recommend Bust Outs for neighborhood families looking for a kid-friendly restaurant with excellent service. It’s a perfect spot for hassle-free comfort food.

This place was awesome. For starters the pickle fries were hands down my favorite thing and I’d get them every time I came back. We also tried the cheese curds and these were excellent. The Gouda mac and cheese bites were okay but not as good as the pickle fries or curds.
The burgers we had were all excellent. Tried the red line (my favorite), the green line (decent but not better than the red), and the orange line. Would definitely try the other ones when I come back again. Management was super friendly as well, could tell they’re passionate about their restaurant.
I think it’s really cool that you can swap a burger for a chicken sandwich. It makes some really interesting options given the variety of the menu.

Sweet goodness of the food gods!!! This food was so amazing that I wanted to stay and sleep off the digestion when I was done. Great spot if you’re on the Northside or any side (I drove 45 minutes from south boofoo land to get here and man was it worth it) just come in. The food is gourmet, top notch, sooooo much flavor!!! Come by, bring a friend or the whole family, either way, you’ll leave full and happy. Burgers are great, fries are otherworldly (with the cheese) and the garlic cheese curds… those disappeared so fast…. just come and eat… you won’t be disappointed

My wife and I don’t live anywhere near Bust Outs, but every time we’re even close to the area, we make it a point to stop by. The Green Line burgers are our absolute favorites — always juicy, full of flavor, and made right. The waffle fries, garlic cheese curds, and pickle fries are all must-haves too. We’ve tried a lot from the menu and honestly haven’t missed yet.
We also tried the dessert, and it was the perfect way to finish the meal. The Honey Sriracha “Honey Bus” was surprisingly amazing — sweet, spicy, and really unique.
Angelo, the owner, is always great with customers. Super friendly, always down for a good chat, and you can tell he really cares about the place and the people who walk in.

Best burger spot in town, hands down! Everything is made fresh — from the buns to the lettuce to the patties. You can really taste the quality. My personal favorite is the Green Line with avocado — absolutely the best! And even though it’s a burger place, their chicken wings are amazing. The waffle fries? Come on… so good!
