Don’t just read a few of the reviews. You have to read all of them and look for common denominators. This is a very mediocre restaurant. Nothing was great, but nothing was terrible. It was all middle of the road. If you just want to get bacon and eggs and hashbrowns, I think you will be pleased. The hot sandwiches were extremely mediocre. The pancakes had no flavor and the syrup was clearly low-budget. The waffle was very average. The Dinner Bell sandwich lacked flavor and quality. The young man waiting on us was very cool and attentive. When we went to the rear of the restaurant, which you can only get to by going outside and then going down the building and into another door, we were met by one of the rudest waitresses I’ve ever encountered. She bit my head off when I was trying to ask her some questions about the restaurant and some customer favorites. We will never be back.

Excellent mom and pop restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Food herebis always super good. Waitress was very efficient but she didn’t smile once. 🙁 also it was busy. I get it. I love coming to this spot though.

The Dinner Bell is such a unique place. It is an old, quaint building and has a tree-lined, creekside patio. The food is good and it’s a relaxing atmosphere, especially if you want to sit and enjoy some time on your own outside for breakfast.

Walking around town and was recommended here by some of the locals for breakfast! when I walked in I was greeted with surprisingly rude service, and was told I couldn’t bring my drink in the restaurant and my service dog was to stay under the table (as usual, he’s a puppy in training). After that commotion I was about to leave but was directed in the back for more comfortable seating. Gary was my server and I had an awesome experience because of him! The food was amazing and he was knowledgeable and kind!

I ordered the cod and fries. The cod was excellent! Breading very good. Not wet when you bite in if you know what I mean. Fries were good. Service was excellent.

The food is always great. I’ve had the chicken fried steak and a couple different omelettes. I just tried the country potatoes today with the Frank omelette, and they are SO good. The service is awesome. The kitchen is super fast. Probably my favorite breakfast place!

I used to love this place for its Monday Meatloaf Special. My last two visits have been a little disappointing. The meatloaf was over salted and the mashed potatoes weren’t mashed and were cold. I can’t figure out why they’ve gone downhill for me but it’s truly disheartening.

Overall 3 stars. Had issues with fruit flies in our drinks, looks as if no one really keep the diner clean, alot of dead bugs in the window around the decorations. We didn’t complain or speak up. Just took in the overall experience. I’m sure with some new house keeping , it can be a better place to enjoy. Food was delicious, and came out quickly. Over staff was helpful and friendly.
