Living in a small town has its perks. This hot Italian sub with more fries than one could eat was $10. I could only eat 2/3 of the sandwich. Where might you ask, Loli’s Auction Barn/Dinner Belle Cafe. This is a place where they auction off cattle as well as have exotic animal sales. The staff are all delightful and the customer service is amazing. My wife is currently in St. Louis and paid $16 for a salad that had ten croutons, salad dressing and no cheese. How insulting is that!

We were coming through Macon, MO on our way to Arkansas and found this hidden gem on a Google search. Knew it was going to be good when we walked in and seen two Macon police officers and three city employees eating in there. Service was excellent and food delivery was fast and hot even though the place was packed and people were comming in for take out orders.
This is truely a hidden gem as there is no signage on the outside of the building. Just a “Cafe” flag along the highway. Just look for the sale barn on the south end of town and you’ll find it. It’s connected to the north end of the sale barn.

Oh my !! LOVE this place ❤️. Folks working here AND other customers are so friendly. Food and service are both amazing. Steak and eggs here would be hard to beat. Seriously. I can’t believe I have been driving by for years and missing out. But hey, better late than never!

Dinner Bell Café is tucked away inside the Lolli Livestock Market in Macon, MO—a spot you wouldn’t stumble upon unless you knew to look. But trust me, it’s worth seeking out! This no-frills diner offers hearty portions, classic comfort food, and a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
I went with the daily special: the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with crinkle-cut fries. The tenderloin was everything you’d want—perfectly breaded, tender, and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The crinkle fries were crispy, golden, and cooked to perfection. For a quick meal at a spot like this, the quality of the food was a pleasant surprise.
Service was quick and friendly, with my food arriving in about 10 minutes. While the cleanliness and ambiance were nothing to write home about, it felt authentic and down-to-earth, just like a good roadside diner should.

This sale barn cafe is TOP NOTCH…….Tricia has a daily special throughout the week for lunch, and her breakfasts are equally delightful. You will not leave here hungry….. OR broke. You can’t get a meal like they serve at any fast food restaurant for $6-10. I highly recommend eating here.

This place is a hidden gem!! It’s down to earth service with home cooked food. I was there for sale day (Tuesday). You have to order at the counter due to all sale crowd. It’s an awesome atmosphere! Farmers, great food and beautiful livestock!! The food is AMAZING!!! I would give it 20 stars if I could!!

This review is for Mr. Garett Wood! You need to be sure and tell the entire story when you make a negative review.
You failed to mention that the cafe was extremely busy, and that people were having to set with people that they didn’t know, because there were no seats left.
The items that you ordered were a pond Platter and one of our various 1/2lb burgers. Our burgers here at the Dinner Bell Cafe are fresh 1/2lb patties. Any reasonable person would know that it’s not gonna be McDonalds speed to get your burger, especially with the volume of people that were dining in with us that day.
We would like to invite you back to give us another try, and see if your experience is as delightful as all the other reviews here.
