Honestly all of their food is pretty great, but when Im craving a really good sub, I always come here. Unfortunately I don’t live as close anymore but all I can say is, I drive 45 minutes, yes 45 minutes for a sub just cause it’s that good!!! Bread is always so soft, toppings are fresh, meat and cheeses are always generously packed onto the sandwich. . Highly highly recommend!!

I really appreciate people who take pride in there craft, no matter what it is… and the staff and owner at Diesel’s delivers on that in spades.
Cold cuts are sliced extremely thin and piled high, they use high quality fresh products (not crappy boars head), the tomatoes are bright red throughout, onions thin and beautifully white, the bread from nino’s (I think) is incredible.
Attention to detail on orders, pleasant staff, no frills other than just pumping out amazing food. NJs best subs in my opinion. 10 stars if I could!

Not Like You
Since I moved back a year and a half ago I couldn’t wait to find a great sub and they didn’t disappoint. More food on a sandwich than any one man needs, fresh ingredients and a great staff. I read people commenting on the price and it doesn’t make sense. If you are expecting chain prices then expect a lousy chain sub, this is far above and beyond and well worth the $$$.

At first, I thought these were going to be regular, maybe premium subs. They’re HUGE! 1/4 of the sub is bigger than my hand! Not only that, they’re absolutely delicious, fresh, light.. We also got wings, juicy and tasty. The ladies here are extremely friendly too. I recommend this!

This place has completely priced themselves out of the market. $7 for a small amount of fries cooked in burnt oil and $17 for a half a sub is ridiculous. Definitely won’t be back.

They put alot on your sandwich meat wise but I ordered Roast Beef. The clerk gave me the butt end of the Roast Beef. I’m easy going but it made a difference in the sandwich and I didn’t enjoy the sandwich the way I like.

Honestly didnt even eat it yet. It better be life changing but im sorry $21 for a full basic italian is high but what killed me is a little salami and mayo on white bread for my 3 year old was $11? I got “light” meat. Adjust the price for something like that because that’s insane.

Went to this place for the first time today and I can not explain the satisfaction and respect I now hold for this place. The sandwiches were absolutely amazing today.
When ordering a sandwich you would think its a bit expensive but give it a try!!!! This place is not cheap with the amount of food they give. The food is worth the price and I would pay it without any question ever.
This experience made this sub place our go to spot especially since we are extremely close. The roast beef sandwich was fresh, the bread nice and soft, the added peppers gave it an amazing taste and I had a mayo on it that just took the entire thing over the top. The BLT was loaded with bacon not just 1 or 2 pieces.
Give it a try, trust me.

Been looking for a great pastrami sub since moving to NJ 3 yrs ago. Many places don’t carry it. Tried Diesel’s for the first time ever and loved the pastrami! Great portions, made just how I asked and reasonably priced. Love how the meats are sliced to order as they make sandwiches. Fresh and delicious!

Have seen this spot for months and finally decided to stop in and give them a try. Was greeted by 6 smiling young teens ready to assist. I got a ham & Swiss sub and it was very good. The amount of meat that was on there was enough for an entire other sandwich. All the add ins were fresh. There was a wide selection of condiments as well. My only suggestion would be to maybe have another selection of bread type. I love a good semolina bread with my sub and I think it would be a great add on. The location is clean and has great drink and chip selection as well. Great sandwich with great service.
