This is a review of the small restaurant inside the airport at Grand Island NE. The airport is small with not a great number of flights. So they open to cater mainly to departing passengers. Arriving passengers may not be able to have a meal after arrival. Just be aware. The staff and service were great. Some of the best airport food I have eaten from a sandwich type place. The price was more like a normal restaurant than airport overpriced food.

I give the poor girl working kudos. She just steadily worked to take orders, and then to make food. That was the issue though. 1 employee. You either waited to order/ pay and then waited to have food made. We were excited to each lunch here as Afternooners used to be a great place to eat. The food was fine but when you are stressing if it will be done before boarding it takes away the enjoyment of a meal. Don’t plan this option for lunch if you are worried about time. Options very limited as well because of 1 person. I was sadly disappointed, but again kudis to the one employee.

Hope all is well. I was traveling to Texas today to see my family and the Aftrnooner personnel was extremely disappointing and rude. I was ignored and certainly not appreciated. I live in Grand Island and hoped the service would improve. I hope someone will see this and understand how important customer service is for travel.
By the way, I have family that comes to see us and they say the same when they come through the airport.
Please look into and train
your personnel to service all patrons better.

We enjoy coming here to eat. Every first and third Friday is a fish buffet. Best fish dinner around. Plenty of hot food always ready. Ice Cream and drinks included in the price. Very nice owners.
