I should have taken the fact that the place was absolutely empty at 6:30 on a Monday as a clue not to come in, but I had a coupon I wanted to use. First off, the place was empty. Secondly, I asked if they had the loaded mashed potatoes and the guy opened the container and it was basically watery mashed potatoes. It looked terrible, and that should’ve been my second clue not to proceed, but I did anyway.
I ordered that and a pulled pork sandwich. I couldn’t use my coupon and ended up paying about $15 for what was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The pulled pork was full of fat and skin and so greasy I had to dab the sandwich on the plate just to make it halfway edible. The loaded mashed potatoes were gross too.
Overall, I’ll never be coming back to this location

Well, this is the second time I’ve ever ordered from Dickey’s and it was no better than the first time, unfortunately.
I ordered the “Original Crispy Chicken” sandwich and it’s described on the menu as,
(Buttermilk battered and perfectly seasoned crispy Chicken Breast topped with tangy, Southern-style Sauce and Pickles, on a garlic butter toasted Brioche Bun.)
I copied that description directly from their website.
Well, my sandwich is literally a piece of fried chicken between 2 pieces of sauceless and pickle-less Brioche Bun. That’s the same experience I had the FIRST time too!
It was the same exact thing, a piece of chicken and top and bottom bun, no sauce and no pickles.
That’s just the sandwiches too! The “Loaded Fries” are even worse!
The Loaded Fries are described as,
(Crispy Hand Cut fries topped with Chili, Shredded Cheese, & Green Onions)
These fries are literally topped with BAKED BEANS.
This is NOT chili! Chili is NOT sweet and brown sugary like Baked beans are. Absolutely disgusting.
It’s pretty sad when an establishment can’t serve their own menu items as they describe them on their menu. Also, when you pay to eat out and then you get the meal home and realize it’s not as you ordered or even expected, it really makes you mad.
Good luck calling them too it goes straight to voicemail and their “Voicemail box hasn’t been set up yet”
I do NOT recommend eating here unless you like plain sandwiches and fries covered in baked beans.

Bought the 2 plates for $30 online. Double brisket and turkey and chicken. Double okra and double fries. Drove 45 minutes home and no brisket. I should have gone to nasty Rudy BBQ.. at least they show you the meat before they wrap it. And free bread and onions and pickles!!!!!!! But that dag gum fried okra is worth all of it …not the fries…. Ewww.. all fried okra only. And it’s super warm inside.

I was really excited today to finally treat myself to something nice (in this economy, eating out by yourself is “something nice” when you’re a single parent), so I stopped in for lunch. Lesson learned: don’t ever buy food from an empty BBQ joint.
BBQ is pretty darn hard to mess up. But man, there wasn’t anything on my 2-meat platter that was any good. The pulled pork was more like pork floss; incredibly dry, tiny flakes of pork that was more like…dust? I’m unsure how to describe it. The brisket was bland, VERY dry and tough, and shredded, even though the only two options were cubes or slices (I chose slices). The coleslaw had a strange flavor akin to….chemicals? And the loaded baked potato side is just smooth mashed potatoes without gravy, and again a really odd flavor that reminds me of preschool for some reason.. Oh and everything was room temperature. After reading other reviews, now I’m terrified I just got food poisoning.
The garlic toast was good.

Honest review about the food. I ordered the Brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage with Mac and cheese and bbq beans. Everything was lukewarm when it arrived. We were the only people there at 5:30 on a Monday, so it wasn’t because they were busy. The sausage was so cold that the fat in it had solidified giving it a bad lard feeling. I had to cut the brisket with a knife as it was tough. The Mac and cheese was cold. The only thing that was hot was the bbq beans which the menu says are served cold. ??
The Carolina vinegar based bbq sauce was really good! The food looked great and was presented well, but they missed on the quality and the preparation.

This will be last time we try this place. Brisket is not tender by any means, its actually pretty tough. It used to be good a few years ago but over the recent year its gone downhill. When your spending this kind of money on food you expect it to be good. We won’t be back.

they were out of everything except for pulled pork today. The food came out cold. I took one bite and handed it back and asked for a refund.
Ben the general manager refused, they said they will remake it. I asked them for a gift certificate in the same amount so I could come back another day when the food is better. He said no and offered a free sandwich coupon. I told him the website refund policy states that if it’s not eaten, it can be returned for a refund, and he said the website doesn’t apply to him because he’s a franchise and he can do whatever he wants. I have all of this on a recording
I go to the other locations all the time. I wasn’t asking for free stuff, just my money back for food I didnt eat. (Photo below)

Food was horrible. I ordered turkey they gave me ham. Bread is dry and mac and cheese. I asked for fries they don’t have none cooked asked for okra we done have none cooked. They never have what you want. They want to give the old stuff.

Ice tea is fresh, food is right on spot. Manny I believe, often by here himself hustles to keep the orders flowing.. They have made some changes and it’s working out great …. I stopped coming for awhile.

I placed a pickup order through uber eats. When I arrived they were out of pulled pork for my sandwich and I understood since they were on special. I asked for a chopped brisket sandwich instead. When I got home it was sliced and the bun was pretty smashed. I also didn’t get the Mac and cheese I ordered as a side either. It seemed like I was a bother to the staff and had made a mistake by coming there. I won’t be returning and have already submitted for a refund on uber.
Reply: Will you though? It seems like this has been going on as far back as 7 months. I don’t understand the pre planned replies you do with no action. Why bother replying if you never actually do anything to change the problems?
