I ordered meals for myself and my wife , beef curry , and veg dopiaza , wasted £30 on this meal which ruined date night! Curry was bland ( beef like rubber ) veggie dopiaza had only mushrooms in and the chips were cold and hard. Salad was hot as it was placed in the carrier on top of hot food when they’d bagged it and the naan bread was doughy and sweaty when opened . Needless to say our kitchen bin got a double treat ! uploaded a photo of £30 worth of food in my bin . Not happy at all with this place

Wow, what a fabulous curry takeaway, must be the best in east hull (for us anyway). Exstensive menu with some fabulous food, gorgeous breads. Really friendly people, can’t do enough for you!. Desi special curry, chicken passanda and a chicken bhuna, with plain pilau rice, onion bhajis, nann bread and poppadoms……delicious

We love it here, the korma, chicken tikka masala, cheese & garlic naan bread & pilau rice is our regular order & we love it everytime! Plenty of sauce, massive chunks of chicken throughly cooked & moist! Lots of flavour, its just amazing & so tasty! Big portions! And tonight (saturday) we ordered it at 4:40pm & it was with us by 5pm piping hot!
Amazing thank you Desi Curry!

The food is always very well cooked and full of flavour. Delivery is quick, and the drivers are always friendly when they arrive. We have ordered from here a number of times and it has been consistently good. Definitely one of our go-to curry takeaways.

Been meaning to leave this place a review for a while. We’ve been using them a while now and it’s our go to place for Indian takeaway. We’ve tried several curries, starters, and sundries and it’s all fantastic. We’ve had plenty of curries over the years and this place ranks highly on that list. Everything is always arrives hot and they have not yet once missed anything off the order. Except once they sent a chicken dish instead of a tikka chicken dish. We wouldn’t have even noticed but they called us to say that they had sent the wrong one, and sent us a replacement one out immediately and we kept the original one. Really excellent service and the delivery is always quick and the guys who deliver it are always friendly.
Actually can’t recommend the place enough!

Desi Curry is a fantastic spot for authentic, homestyle Indian food. The name says it all – this is comforting, flavourful curry just like you’d find in a family kitchen. The curries are rich and complex, with well-balanced spices, and the portions are generous. Standout dishes include their butter chicken and lamb rogan josh. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, putting the focus squarely on the delicious food. The service is friendly and efficient. For a satisfying, no-fuss meal that delivers big on traditional flavour, Desi Curry is a top choice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Absolutely Outstanding!
Desi Curry never disappoints! The food is full of authentic flavour, perfectly spiced, and always served hot and fresh. Every dish tastes like real home-cooked desi comfort food. Portion sizes are generous, quality is consistent, and the service is friendly and reliable.
If you love proper desi cuisine, this place is an absolute must-try. Highly recommended!

Got a takeaway tonight first time visiting here. Chicken garlic masala with chips, and a chef’s special Amm chicken with rice, also got 2 naans and a tandoori mixed kebab. Definitely going back. It was very very nice. The staff were very welcoming and helped me decide when I wasn’t sure what to get. Decent portions im absolutely stuffed but I won’t lie, what I bought for 2 could have fed 3 or 4. Beautiful food.

I recently moved to the area in 2024. I tried Desi Curry twice when I moved into my new house. I got a chicken pathia first, which looked awful and was way too spicy for a pathia. Next I tried a madras. This resembled the pathia and tasted pretty much the same. I decided to give them another chance recently, and ordered from the chef’s special menu. I got the spice special curry. It was actually really nice, so I thought I’d try them again. This time I got the tarka chicken daal from their new and exciting menu. What a disappointment. It looked exactly the same as my previous pathia and madras and was incredibly bland. I don’t think I’ll bother in future. Absolutely rubbish. I threw it in the bin and had breakfast cereal instead. What a way to spend a Friday evening

Ordered two curry’s on Saturday night and waited two hours, what arrived was barely even a curry, you could tell it had been rushed and one didn’t even resemble a madrass, it was full of chunks of onion which isn’t normally in a madrass and I’m thinking that they had maybe ran out of the base gravy and improvised or had someone inexperienced in the kitchen as it was very bland. I was offered a 50% rufund but the fact we had to wait two hours for that I feel we should have been given a full refund or offered a free order. We’ve been regular customers here and it’s a shame as the staff I’ve dealt with are really friendly but I’m reluctant to order again. If it’s super busy perhaps they should stop accepting orders. I do feel the the consistency has deteriorated in the last few orders, let’s hope they can pull it back because it was amazing when it first opened.
