Derf’s has anchored this busy Santa Barbara street corner for years. I ate here years ago. It was time to return. Our server was super friendly. The iconic patio has a view of a busy corner, but friends have gathered here for years. It works. This place isn’t fancy. And it isn’t for tourists. I liked my hickory burger well enough. My wife felt the same about her sandwich. It was just fine. I won’t rush back to Derf’s but I will return.
